About the Author
Hope Irvin Marston, a retired library media specialist, is the author of two adult books and twenty-five children’s books, including several books on wildlife. She lives in upstate New York with her husband Arthur, their exuberant boxer, and their laid-back golden retriever.
Maria Magdalena Brown, a nature lover, is an accomplished illustrator and designer. She has teamed up with Hope Irvin Marston on numerous projects to bring the books to life through her detailed and factual, yet entertaining illustrations.

This is one of the most beautifully illustrated books I have ever seen. My daughter loves just touching the colorful and glossy pages. The story itself is a very factual portrayal of wood ducks, not fiction, but it is still wonderful.
