5.0 out of 5 stars Great for talking about Nightmares but not scary
This story is very simple as the previous review states, but I respectfully disagree with the rating they gave it (and obviously so did their 2 yr old.) It is perfect for a Pony loving preschooler. In the book, Pinkie Pie has a nightmare similar to a "ghost story" type tale that her pony friends told her just before bed duing their sleep over. When she wakes up...

2.0 out of 5 stars Ugh
The only reason I am giving this book two stars (or any stars, FTM) is that my 2-yr. old daughter is absolutely crazy about it (why why why?). It's possible that any little girl who is nuts over My Little Pony will also request this book repeatedly. It is not at all well written...a lot of "Rainbow Dash continued," "Sparkleworks explained," "Pinkie Pie wondered," at the...

This review is from: My Little Pony: Pinkie Pie's Spooky Dream (Paperback)
This story is very simple as the previous review states, but I respectfully disagree with the rating they gave it (and obviously so did their 2 yr old.) It is perfect for a Pony loving preschooler. In the book, Pinkie Pie has a nightmare similar to a "ghost story" type tale that her pony friends told her just before bed duing their sleep over. When she wakes up frightened her friends reassure her that dreams are not real but their freindship is real. My daughter got this book right around the same time she was having some trouble with nighttime fears(at about age 3.) It was a good story to read before bed because it reminded her that dreams are not real and can't hurt us. (Unfortunately, however, now she keeps bugging me about having a sleepover like the ponies. )

This review is from: My Little Pony: Pinkie Pie's Spooky Dream (Paperback)
The only reason I am giving this book two stars (or any stars, FTM) is that my 2-yr. old daughter is absolutely crazy about it (why why why?). It's possible that any little girl who is nuts over My Little Pony will also request this book repeatedly. It is not at all well written...a lot of "Rainbow Dash continued," "Sparkleworks explained," "Pinkie Pie wondered," at the end of dialogue. The story is not scary, so no worries. Pinkie Pie simply has a bad dream about being lost and lonely, just like the pony in the "spooky" story Rainbow Dash tells. In the end, Pinkie Pie is assured that scary dreams are not real, but friendship is. Anyway, for three bucks, you could stuff a Pony fan's stocking and make her incredibly happy while you try to keep from gagging from the poor writing and sappy story.
