My Little Snoopy Lamp with Shade

I just bought the snoopy lamp for my nursery. I'm expecting in September and this is my first child, so I really wasn't' sure about what theme to do the nursery in. When I saw the snoopy collection online I thought it was cute. When I received the lamp and took it out of the packaging, I was so excited. It is the cutest thing I have ever seen. I'm so glad I decided to go with the snoopy theme.

My husband and I registered for all of the Snoopy themed nursery decor while we were pregnant with our first child, a girl. We liked it because we thought it was cute and appropriate for either a boy or a girl (we plan on having more children). What we didn't think of was how much our daughter would love it! She stares at the black and white Snoopys, against the pastel background they really stand out. We get so may compliments on it (especially the lamp!). So many people do Classic Pooh these days that Snoopy is an adorable, refreshing change.

I saw this at Babies R Us and had to put it on my registry. I was so happy when someone got it for me and loved it even more when I put it in the room. In fact, my husband said that the room didn't feel like a warm baby room until we put the lamp in it! You will be sure to love this lamp!

We didn't spend a whole lot on our baby's nursery and b/c of that I thought I would splurge on this lamp and I'm sure glad I did. It is this lamp that makes her room look very Snoopy-themed w/o actually having a lot of Snoopy items. What you would spend on a few "for show" stuffed toys could pay for this, which has the same look but has the added function of being a lamp *and* of matching your baby's room.

As a lamp, it works well and the shade is thicker than I expected, which gives a softer light to the room (helpful when baby is napping and I want to leave a light on) yet the bright white shade keeps the light "clear," if that makes sense. The switch is very solid and the lamp is pretty large. You can also swivel the post to pull the bulb and shade away from Snoopy or put it over his head so there is some versatility as well.

If you're worried about the cost, I would suggest getting plainer room decor (like sheets, bumper pads, wall paint) and using touches like this to accent the room. I think it's a wonderful piece and I'm not one bit sorry I spent the money on it.

Even though it was a little spendy, I bought this lamp anyways. For my first son I would by anything, my husband and I wanted a unique theme for him that a lot of people did not have. We felt this was it. We both are big fans of Snoopy and we loved the whole theme of the nursery. A die hard fan of snoopy would buy this and not care about the price. He is still using it 9 months later, it has become a big part of his room.

We were lucky and got this for a shower gift but I have to say that I was surprised to get it because of how much it cost so when we got it I was ecstatic! We went with the Snoopy theme because we got tired of the generic Pooh we kept seeing everywhere and were so happy to find the lamp. :) It makes a great finishing touch to our nursery and my husband put a dimmer on it so it makes it much easier to go into the room at night and not have to turn on a bright light (although it does take a 40W bulb).

I love this lamp! The snoopy plush is so cute. The lamp works really good, the only thing I don't like about it is the price ( I was lucky to have recieved it as a gift, otherwise I would not have bought it)

I didn't register for this lamp because of the price. It's a lamp... To expensive I felt bad registering for it so I registered for something a lot cheaper and I'm sure it will work as good!

Sorry but thats one over priced lamp! Its adorable and I would have loved to add it to the babys room, but I didn't feel right about buying it or even adding it to the registry because of the price!

OOh well....we'll find something else. it is asorable though- we just dont have that kind of money!

I bought the My Little Snoopy crib set and wanted the accessories to decorate the room. Who in the world would pay $... for a lamp? Any crafty person can make one just as easy. Go to the craft store and buy the "do it yourself" lamp shade. Take the fitted crib sheet from the crib set and use it for your shade. Throw some cord around the edges with some hot glue. For around $... you've got yourself the lamp. Of course you can attach the snoopy animal too if you want.
