5.0 out of 5 stars Great product
I have had my steamer for about 3 years now and I love it. I haven't used the iron in ages. It heats up fast and does a great job. It also sits flat, which most small steamers do not do; this is convenient if you want to set it down to grab the next article of clothing. I bought one for my son and my niece. I tell people forget the iron, just get this steamer. You can...

1.0 out of 5 stars Not satisfied with this purchase
I thought with this purchase I could throw away my iron and
ironing board...wrong! It doesn't get hot enough and takes longer than
it would to get out the ironing board and iron. I think I will invest
in a higher wattage steam iron. I am searching for something to
steam drapes, bedding, etc. as well as clothes.

Up until I bought this steamer I had five! This is so easy to use, holds lots of water (tap!), heats up very quickly, and doesn't seem to run out of steam. Much better than the ones with a tank.

I just got the second one (for another home)!!

Should be no problem if you can read the directions!

5.0 out of 5 stars LOVE my Little Steamer!, February 25, 2008
This review is from: My Little Steamer W/attachments (Kitchen)
I had my steamer for years and it finally quit on me. I'm online looking for another. I LOVE it! Sure, if you tip it the water will spill out. Just keep it upright. Why would you want to tip it anyway? I keep my steamer in my bedroom so I can quickly steam things in the morning if I need to. I use it WAY more than my iron. I also take it with me when I travel. I love that it just uses tap water. It heats up very quickly. I highly recommend this product!!!

I really love this little steamer. I have not had any of the issues with it that I have heard of from other people.

I initially bought this to get wrinkles out of muslin photography backdrops and it worked like a charm.
I am wearing clothes that have been in my closet of years because I'm too lazy to iron and steaming is so easy. I even steam my jeans....I usually just let them go as they are. I haven't quite figured out how to get the garments to stay still while steaming though... tee shirts and jeans are a breeze. Long sleeves are kinda tricky but maybe I'll figure it out....

Is steaming faster and easier than ironing? It depends on if you like dealing with getting the iron and the ironing board out and painstakingly going over every inch of the garment...I don't so steaming is my new best friend!

I am pleased that I bought this. It has not let me down.

4.0 out of 5 stars Works great on some stuff, just isn't for everything, January 2, 2009
This review is from: My Little Steamer W/attachments (Kitchen)
I bought this steamer a while back, and actually forgot I had it. I kept meaning to use it to steam a delicate cotton summer shirt I was afraid to iron. Then I washed a washable velvet shirt that came out totally wrinkled. I brought out the steamer, and it worked *marvelously* on the cotton shirt. The shirt has gathers & tiny pleating, and the steamer even flattened the tiny pleats in the correct direction! Absolutely fabuolous. The velvet shirt, on the other hand, is still wrinkled. It looks like textured velvet instead of smooth velvet now. I think the trick is to have realistic expectations of what kinds of things you can use this steamer on, and what you can't. I'll always use it for cotton now, but won't bother for things like velvet. But I think, when it works, it works wonderfully.

My little steamer is BIG. Great product. I have had Rowenta's and this beats those.

I bought this thing and it was so bad that the guy who sold it to me off Amazon gave me a refund and told me to keep it! I then gave it to my sister who wanted it, and she gave it back to me. I don't even think a Goodwill will take it at this point. It's completely impractical and useless and here's why: you cannot tip this thing lest you spill its boiling contents and give yourself 4th degree burns. Also, when using the steamer, you have to precariously hang up clothes on your door jamb and hope they don't fall off while you are "steaming" them. And then, even if you can get the clothes to stay in one spot, the steamer doesn't even remove wrinkles! It's totally weak.

I love my steamer..I have a linen shower curtain in my bathroom which I had for 4 years and it was wrinkled till I used my new steamer, the other day and now the curtain is perfect. I love that you can use tap water...heats up in about 3 min. I would put my clothes on the shower curtain rod and steam the wrinkle out. Wonderful and am getting a second one for my laundry room.
