My Meebas Game Raspberry - Love

First off, I am on my mom's account, and I am the one who bought the My Meeba, and raised it, and I will say again, website, package, ect, it VERY MISLEADING! Number one, they say 20+ games and activities, well threw the WHOLE game there are only really 9 games, and you can only play 1-3 in any given stage! They count the little animations as "games and activities" which are just watched, and are 20 seconds long at most! Second, there is really 8 stages of growth, not 7. Also, you know that chart that comes with the toy, dont get all "oh, I want that one"! becuase the colors, and shapes are NOT what they are on that chart! My Meeba (although VERY cute, and I love it) is a star shaped, blue camo, which is not on the chart AT ALL! Number three, I and my whole family where VERY anoyed by the fact that the sound DOES NOT go down or off, and the sound is to loud anyway.

Now, the good stuff! Of the 9 games on there, most games are fun, although every stage of change you get a new game, and the old one is GONE until the final stage! And two games always stay with you, in every stage, and in mine, they wenrt even the funner ones so..... I LOVE my pet that came out, he's perfact! Moving the screen around is very fun, although for about 2 days MY screen was not working right, and the Meeba would not move, but it eventually went back to normal.

Bottom line, there is really nothing to do on a My Meebas expect playing a few minute long games, and watching cute little actions by the Meeba. This toy would be AMAZING for 10 dollars, not the 20-30 there priced at! Mattel thinks just becuase you get a random 5 inch plush they can charge an extra 15 bucks! Overall, I give it 3 stars.

Let me start this by saying that my daughter LOVED this. She talked about it, was excited about it, really obsessed with it. She couldn't wait for the little toy to come out and spent a lot of time between when she bought it and when the toy came out thinking about which one it would be.
Unfortunately, that isn't much time, and that's my problem with this toy. We purchased it from KMart at 5 pm, she played it for approximately 45 minutes in the car on the way home. She then played it for about 20 minutes the next morning and then about 30 minutes after school. That's when the toy came out.
After the toy emerges, the packaging clearly states, the electronic game has "limited play value." So for 19.99, my daughter got less than two hours of play from it. She does have the little stuffed animal, but hasn't played with the electronic game part for more than 10 minutes since it opened. The stuffed animal is small and appears cheaply made. It has the appearance of one of the "small prizes" you might win at a fair game. I haven't seen it either since the day she got it.
Whoever came up with this is a marketing genius, however. You choose from several colors of Meeba canisters and within each canister color range, there are several possible Meebas that can emerge. So your child can't pick which animal she will get: it's random luck. My luck, my daughter didn't get any of the the Meebas she wanted so of course, she wants another one of these.
I would not recommend this to others for two reasons: limited play time for the amount of money spent and there is a chance that your child will be disappointed in the toy that comes out and start asking for another. I do not plan on buying any more of these.
I am giving it two stars based on how into it she was before it opened.

Bought one of these for each of my daughters ages, 6, 8 and 10. Took each of them about 3 hours of pretty consistent playing to complete all the levels and the things each opened. Cute little plush comes out and they were excited. They had alot fun and enjoyed the suspense of what critter they would get and the plush is cute BUT...now the thing is basically useless. It does not relock to play again just opens with the press of a button. And, the digital part doesn't play hardly anything any longer. I now see in the instructions only found inside the packaging to be read after purchase, that it says "limited game play after plush evolves". Well, that is certainly true. Should be more like "just throw it away when the plush comes out because it doesn't do ANYTHING!". So, basically you pay for 3 hours of digital entertainment and a very small plush for $20.00! Would have been a great toy had they made it more challenging, sold it for half the price, or even if it had the ability to be able to relock with some code so a parent could hide surprises back in it to play again or siblings could put in surprises for eachother. Great fun but too short a time of enjoyment, definately overpriced. So sad, could have been great. All of us parents need to band together and keep up he reviews so that we can save eachother some money! Thanks!

I love these My Meebas they are so much fun. I bought one and am liking it so much I bought another one and plan on buying more of them in the future. I'm 26 and am loving it I think anyone who like games or virtual pets is gonna love it and should give it a try. I give it a big thumbs up and I hope Mattel continues to make em and expand on the line. Maybe accessories for the pet you get at the end.

I am a mom of a six year old girl. She begged and begged for this toy and saved her money to buy it. It was frustrating for her to have to play so many levels. I had to play with it after while because it was such a boring toy. About two weeks after we bought it, the left button went out. We were very limited in what we could play. We would normally lose. This toy is more of a joke than anything else. I will not invest in any more of these and warn others about the long process about getting the tube opened. (My husband was going to smash it with a hammer, because it was so long and tedious to play with).

My daughter had been asking for this thing for months. We finally got her one and boy was I surprised to see the price tag! Way too much, I thought. Anyway, she loved playing it and reaching the different levels. We finally reached the final level with two hearts and the change battery sign comes on. I refered to the instructions and it said to change the battery within 2 minutes or all game progress would be lost. I changed those batteries within 1 minute and you know what? ALL GAME PROGRESS WAS STILL LOST! I've never seen my daughter so upset. Now we're back to square one and I could just see this happening again when she makes it to the final level...which will probably be in months. UGH!

I bought two my meebas for my six and eight year old nieces. They never got there! My teen aged daughters picked them up and didn't put them down until they hatched. The plush now sits proudly on their backpacks and they have bought two more (with their own money!). I just ordered two more for my nieces, if they like them half as much as my daughters (and I'm sure they will) everyone will be happy.

Wow! My kids talked about these for months! I went to the hospital for a few days and thought I would buy them. $60.00 dollars later -- they played with them for 2 days and my older child who is 9 said that hers was broken. It was -- for no reason. My husband had to crack it open with a hammer to get the wonderful (not) toy out. My son worked really had to get to the end of his to get his prize only to be disappointed when it wouldn't open. I pried his open with a steak knife! What major disappointments.

My daughter was really excited with this toy. She was very excited to play with it until it was ready to open. I was a little disappointed with the cheapness of the toy inside, but it didn't bother her at all. She wanted more of them after this one, so as far as a little girl is concerned, this is a wonderful toy!

Ordered this toy for my daughter. Big disappointment. Did not receive the meeba I ordered. At least we did not receive the one that was pictured on the website (which was the one that she wanted). Was going to send it back for that reason. However, we decided to keep it afterall. Will not buy any more Meebas on this website. I have ordered other items thru Amazon and have always been pleased with the merchandise.
