Queen's Melody Is Pretty Nice. 6.5/10,

With the debute of one of the most leathal female rappers in the game, there came fame and then Queen Pen disappeared. But I think Queen Pen's Melody is pretty nice. The album starts out with a wasted intro and the next two tracks that follow are also not very hot but at track 4 ("All My Love) the album picks up from where it should've started and then goes into the title track "My Melody". But the highlights of the album are "It's True", "Girlfriend", "Get Away" and the smash hit "Party Ain't A Party". I think the reason I am feeling Queen Pen's album is because she is so real and the music and quality is pretty good, most female rappers nowadays can't put out a solid effort and have one hit. I feel Queen Pen will continue to put out good material. Even if she doesn't drop another hot album this one is still a classic in my book.

Make way for Queen Pen,

Queen Pen is the Bomb! She can hold her own with Li'l Kim and Eve. For her freshman album, she came out blazing. I loved every song on there.Keep up the good work, Queenie. You're one of my favorite female rappers and you don't have to portray yourself as a slut to be popular.

"My Melody" by Queen Pen,

Teddy Riley has formed many groups and launched various solo careers in the past(Aaron Hall, Guy, Blackstreet, Dave Hollister) but none are as unique as the rap diva named Queen Pen. We first get a taste of what she has to offer on Blackstreet's hit song "No Diggity" where she raps along side the infamous Dr. Dre. After that, her debut album was eagerly anticipated. Did she come through? 1/2 say yes, 1/2 say no. I think she did, however. Her album gave rise to four singles, two of which became successful. The four sinlges are: "All My Love," "Party Ain't A Party," "It's True" and "Man Behind The Music." The first two listed became hits. Her album featured guest shots by The Lost Boys and Teddy Riely and production from Jay-Z and Riely himself. In all, I would recommend to go and pick up this album if your a fan of Foxy Brown, M.C. Lyte or Lil' Kim type female rap, since most of Queen Pen's song revolve around the theme of men. For a truthful and informative review, just look for the signature name atop other rap, hip-hop and R&B titles at Amazon.com. ~Peace.

My my my, how a person can appreciate a thing the second time around, I had this album a long time ago, and traded it with other cd's i regret getting rid of for credit, for some video game. after hearing a party aint a party i was like the Queen, so when i search and listen to the samples i was like how did i get rid of this classic, not only that, after carfully listening to it for Djing purpose i was like whoa the whole cd is slamming.. by far lil Kim cannot even carry The Real Queen coatail.. even though lil kim is still some what in the game, she is now more & more starting to look like that woman with all that cosmetic surgery to her face, in the end that woman look like a nightmare, So Would The Real Queen Please Stand Up & The Real B, as she calls herself go into hiding because your starting to scare us with that surgery omg!

I have owned this album since its debut in '97, but never really paid any attention to it. I just bought it because it was hot at the time--I liked a few singles. Just recently I popped it in my cd player and I was amazed at how much talent this lady posesses. Its a shame that her career didn't take off like Trina's did(she gets 5 wigeddy's and 10 whacks). Queen Pen is a top notch femcee.
