I first read this book in the store and i cried my eyes out!!! (in a good way... girls you know what i mean!) It is a beautiful way to tell your mother just how importent she is to you. I think that every mother should get one as a gift!!

This book is so touching it will probably make you well up with tears at the thought of your own mom! Becky Kelly's art work is amazing! This would make a great Mothers Day or Birthday gift and is well worth the price...especially knowing that your mom will cherish this for many years! I also recommend any other book by Becky Kelly...especially Little Birthday Wishes. This one is great to give to girls of all ages!!

I originally got this book for myself because of the exquisite illustrations. If you are familiar with Becky Kelly, you know how beautiful her art is. Just looking at the pictures takes me back to my wonderful childhood. However, after I read it, I had to give it to my mom for Mother's Day because everything in it is my mom! She also loved it - it left a tear in her eye! If you want to give a gift that will really touch a mom's heart, this is it.

Not only is this book appropriate as a gift for your mom, but I bought one for my two young daughters to keep for when they grow up. The gently soft pictures depict all the special moments shared between a mother and a child, from star gazing to trick or treating. I especially love the final page where we are reminded that our mothers have loved us "before anyone else" as when we were just tiny babies. Very appropriate for gift giving and keepsaking. We will treasure our copy.

I got this book for my mom 2 years ago when she was sick and we sat on the side of her hospital bed and she read it to me. It will always be a lasting memory for me as my mom passed away a month later. Becky Kelly is awesome....

Excellent book. My three year old loves the moon and this is a great nighttime story before bedtime.

The book entitled,"My Mother Gave Me The Moon" is an exquisite book to give your Mom. The book's content was written by Patrick Regan; I must say he has a wonderful gift as a writer. The illustrations were done by Becky Kelly. The watercolor pictures are charming,loving and endearing. Becky Kelly's art work is so magical in a way....and makes your heart smile. This book is the perfect gift to give your Mom for Christmas or for her Birthday....to tell her how special she is in your life.

The words are sweet and perfect to address the relationship between mother and daughter. This book is meant to be given from daughter to mother. The art work is stunning. The trouble is that you need a magnifying glass to appreciate the art for all its beauty. The publisher did this book a real diservice by making the book so little. The dimensions are 6.6 inches by 5 inches. I looked to see if there was a full size version, because I would have actually bought another copy if it came larger sized. I could not find a larger copy. If the size doesn't bother you, then I do recommend the book because of the lovely words, art, and how beautifully the mother-daughter relationship is portrayed.
