4.0 out of 5 stars Only one concern about this musical tour de force, January 15, 2007
This review is from: My Neck My Back (Audio CD)
Easily Khia's greatest work, this song takes its rightful place next to the likes of Bob Dylan's "Like a Rolling Stone," The Who's "My Generation," Springsteen's "Thunder Road," and Right Said Fred's "I'm Too Sexy." Its rich melodies and intricate storytelling and sound play will haunt our ears for generations. Yet I'm at a loss to explain this urban poet's negligence when it comes to her health and that of her fans: Each listener will have to decide for him/herself whether the UTIs and other bacterial mayhem likely to result from her exhortation to "roll your tongue from the crack back to the front" are too high of a price to pay for what is, admittedly, a musical tour de force of the sort seen only once or twice in a generation.

5.0 out of 5 stars THIS IS a fun song...., October 1, 2002

This review is from: My Neck My Back (Audio CD)
I cannot believe that some of you think this song is "terrible"...this is the year 2002 people. Please take the time to go to www.cdnow.com and read the review and Khia's response to all the things they ask her about this CD you would understand the song and what it means a little better. Dirty, yes...it is very dirty..but fun..yes it is fun and funny.. Khia is only stating what is REAL and she isn't afraid to say what she wants...

5.0 out of 5 stars A new surge of feminist strength, February 16, 2006
By
Christie (ACT, Australia) - See all my reviews
This review is from: My Neck My Back (Audio CD)
This song is extremely catchy and Khia's voice is smooth and confident. And really it's about time that a song like this was made to counter act all the macho sex songs which crow about what men wish to do to women. That may be a reason as to why this song created such a stir, because a woman had not sung something so blunt before; songs similar to this, though sung by men, go unnoticed all the time. I believe that this song could be seen as a new surge of strength in the name of feminism. This song shows that women no longer are limited to singing sweetly about love and romance but can sing about sex and about enjoying it. I rate this song 5 stars not only for its catchiness but also for what it stands for.

5.0 out of 5 stars Khia is HOT!..., September 19, 2002
This review is from: My Neck My Back (Audio CD)
I don't what everyone has against this song or Khia in general. This isn't her 15 minutes of fame. Her newest song "The - K-Wang" is hot. It's sure to hit big with the great remix done by Jermaine Dupri. Everyone I know is doing the dance, The K-Wang. I know all the words on her album. She's even recorded her second album and planned out her third album. That's dedication for you. She's sure to be here a while. Y'all haters need to respect her.

4.0 out of 5 stars The song of the summer 2002, May 30, 2005
This review is from: My Neck My Back (Audio CD)
You couldn't turn on the radio or walk into a club during the summer of 2002 without hearing this "nasty" song. Despite the raw lyrics, radio still found a way to play the song with an edited version that was still risque but paled in comparison to the actual lyrics. Khia hasn't had a hit single since, but you never know, she might have another song left in her. This song is catchy and will go down in history with other summer songs such as "Shorty Swing My Way," "Come On Ride The Train," and "My Boo," the only difference is "My Neck, My Back," is a little nastier.
