This CD has depth and great credibility from a woman's point of view. Each song has a special meaning and a certain tenderness. Shawn King sings incredibly and doesn't just sing words --- she sings the meaning of the song. I loved her on Dr. Phil and on Jimmy Kimmel Live. As a woman, I can really identify with this CD.

I can't tell you how much I love this album! Shawn King's voice is so rich and sultry and her pitch is spot on! Take it from someone who is "in the biz", I know good music and this my friends, is it! I first heard Willie Nelson talking about her on Bill Mack's Highway 16 XM radio show. So naturally, I had to take a lookie and a listen. I like a what I lookie and I love a what I listened! Do yourself a favor and add this cd to your shopping cart! You won't be disappointed!-'-'

I was surprised by how much I liked this album. Shawn King has a pure voice. If you are a fan of country or AC music, I would highly recommend this CD. My personal favorites are "Find Me," "Place Your Love Calls Home," and "Closet of Ruby Red Slippers." But you could just put the CD in the stereo, push play and enjoy the whole album from beginning to end.

The album has a decidedly relaxed pace to it, so don't put it in if you are trying to get pumped up to lift weights. Listen to it when you are done and are stretching or something.

One thing that I like is that it doesn't seem like Shawn is pretending to be anything that She is not. She is a city girl who likes country music. She doesn't add any twang, yet the music feels country.

Get the CD. You'll enjoy it.

My best friend gave this cd to me for Christmas. I didn't know what to expect, but what I found was a rare jewel. I've listened to this cd all the way through at least 5 times already. I never write reviews but for this, I just had to make an exception. I will be giving this cd to all of my friends when I want to give them something real and true. I love the songs and I love Shawn King's voice even more. She sings from her soul and has an amazing instrument. Her voice is not "affected" like many of today's artists. She sings it straight and true. I love that. No tricks, no acrobatics, just pure heart.

Got the CD after seeing her on Dr. Phil; Better than I could have expected. A great CD for when you want to just kick back and enjoy country the way it was meant to be. My favorite was "This Room." Hope she's got another CD in the works; can't come out soon enough for me.

Welcome to the world of killer country music. This CD is GREAT! I have so many favorites that I can't even narrow them down to 13. The CD has 15 songs...a good value, and the arranging and producing is lush...not to mention Shawn's vocal performances. Get it. YOU'LL LOVE IT.

Just a short note to tell anyone thinking about buying this cd, it's a real winner. My wife saw her on Dr. Phil and loved what she heard. She told me, "Shawn's a girl's girl." She couldn't get the song,"Find Me" out of her head for two days. I guess that's a good sign! So, I bought the cd for her for Christmas. I actually bought myself one as well. We both have different songs that are our favorites. She loves "find me" and "Ruby Red Slippers". My favorites are "Sorry, But I Love You", and "The Place Your Heart Calls Home."

Great CD. Loved her clear lovely voice and the words to her songs. #1 and #5 are my favourites

ABOUT A MONTH OR SO AGO, I HEARD HOWARD STERN TALKING ABOUT SHAWN KING ON HIS RADIO SHOW. HE SAID THAT SHAWN KING IS THE REAL THING AND NEEDS TO BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY. HIS REMARKS STUCK WITH ME, AND WHEN I FINALLY GOT THE CHANCE TO FIND THE CD, I BOUGHT IT OUT OF CURIOSITY. MY WIFE AND I CAN'T SOP PLAYING IT. I LOVE THE MELODIES AND CHORD PROGRESSIONS AND SHAWN'S SOULFUL DELIVERY. MY WIFE AND I ARE NEWLY MARRIED, AND SHE HAS GONE THROUGH SOME TOUGH TIMES IN HER LIFE. SHE TOLD ME SHE FEELS LIKE THE WHOLE CD WAS MADE JUST FOR HER. WE'VE SEEN SHAWN KING ON A NUMBER OF SHOWS, AND WE'VE REALLY ENJOYED HEARING ABOUT HER EXTREMELY UNUSUAL LIFE. SHE AND HER HUSBAND ARE A GOOD TEAM...THEY'RE FUNNY TOGETHER. BUT THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE A CD REVIEW, NOT A CAREER REVIEW, SO LET ME PUT IT SIMPLY...SHWN KING ROCKS!

This CD is awful. Sorry September, but Mrs. King isn't even in the same ballpark as a country legend like "Emmylou" Harris. It's a shame she has to exploit her marriage to Larry King to promote this CD.

Did anyone catch her Dr. Phil performance a few weeks ago - ouch :(
