My 3-year old son has wanted a pillow pet for months. We finally got him one, and I must say, it's very cute! It's bigger than I thought it would be, and folds into the perfect pillow for him. He uses it to prop himself up while he's looking at books, and takes it to bed with him every night. We've had it for a few weeks now and it's held up very well. The seems are sturdy and we've had no issue with wear, despite it being dragged around by the tail at times. It's a nice, soft, plush dolphin.
The only issue we've had is that in the summer months, sleeping on the dolphin makes my son VERY sweaty due to the type of material that makes up the fur. If he flips it over and sleeps on the "belly" side, it's a little better, but if your child takes this pillow to bed you might want to check on the overheating/sweat level mid-way through the night.

My 7 year old granddaughter, after 2 days of "comparison shopping" in toy stores selected the Pillow Pet Dolphin as her giftr. Since receiving, she has slept and played with this favorite toy. Her 5 year old sister now wants one just like it for Christmas!

I bought this at Walgreens, not amazon. I was working and a kid abandoned it behind my counter. Upon picking it up, I was shocked by how cute, how soft, and squishy it was.
I love soft things, so I decided right then and there to buy it.
I sleep great with this pet. With the strap on, it is very easy to cuddle, the perfect size for it in my opinion. I even sleep better.
Honestly I thought pillow pets were cheesy, but this one changed my mind.

The pillow pet is very soft. My son absolutely loved it. The only problem is that it is not as puffed up as it shows in the picture. My son keeps asking me when it will get bigger like the commercial and the pictures. Other than that it was a great buy.

My son loves this pillow pet. I looked all over for the dolphin and had a really hard time finding it is stores. I was so happy to find it on Amazon! We received it pretty quickly. It is sooo soft. My son sleeps with his dolphin every night.

So okay, to us grownups these are silly. But to the kids they are the cat's meow. The Dolphin is super soft and quite cuddly. Personally I think these fill the need for the 5 - 9 age range kids to hang on to their stuffed animals without being viewed as "babies" by the older kids.

So yes, they're silly, but they won't be laughed at for bringing them to their sleepovers like they would if they brought their blankies or teddy bears.

Grandaughter just loves her snuggly pillow pet. Won't go to bed without it. Very cute novel idea.

These are great snuggly pillows for the kids. They use them to sleep and also play and pretend with them!

My daughter has been begging for a pillow pet for months. We finally got one for her birthday. She loves it . . . It feels wonderful.

I bought this as a gift for a 7 year old, and she LOVES it...it's really cute & fluffy, and works perfectly!
