This is my review on Unicorn pillow pet.

Well I love it. I sit on it when I play my wii & even fall asleep on it very easily. It's very cute & soft. I love it! (^_^) Even my pet cockatiel Sunny loves the pillow pet he sit's & lay's down on it while watching cartoon's. Look at the customer images for this pillow pet. I took pic's of sunny on it.

Although my daughter loves her unicorn Pillow Pet and it is indeed very soft and cute, I have a problem with the company's advertising. In the commercial, the company states the pets are machine washable and even shows one being placed in a washing machine. However after receiving the pet, the actual care tag states "surface washable." Based on this, I do not allow my daughter to take it out of the house. I would not have purchased a pillow for a 3-year-old that cannot be washed.

My daughter got the unicorn for a gift. She was 5 and only kept it in her bed. The tail fell off after 2 weeks. I emailed the company but they never responded. I then called and they acted like they were doing me a huge favor by allowing me to send it back while I pay for shipping. THey also said the only reason they were allowing me to send it back was b/c I was within the 30 days but still my problem to pay the shipping expense. It would have cost me 1/2 the price of the actual pillow pet if I sent it back to get a new one. I never sent it and am now stuck with a defective pillow pet. I'm a business owner and go above and beyond, especially if a customer gets a defective product! I recommend getting a pillow pet knockoff at one of those stands in the mall.

My 6 yr old daughter loves this pillow pet! The large size is a perfect pillow size when it's a pillow and it's great, magical fun when it's a Unicorn - she really enjoys it. I think the quality is good - seems to hold up well.

My kids both got these pets and absolutley love them. The only down side is the heat factor. After they got these, their regular bed time pillows just wouldn't do. As a result we have frequent wakings with VERY sweaty pillows because of the fur on them. Great as a pet, but not so great as an actual pillow, unless you live in a VERY cold climate!

I contacted the company that makes these and they explained the differences to me between My Pillow Pets and Pillow Pets. While both brands are owned by the same company, they are slightly different because they are manufacturered in different locations.

The MY Pillow Pets unicorn looks a little different from the Pillow Pets unicorn in terms of overall "look". Additionally, it is FLUFFIER and softer. I ordered the "My Pillow Pets" unicorn listed on this page and the seller sent me a "Pillow Pets" one! I PREFERRED the softer product and specifically ordered the item from this listing instead of the other "Pillow Pets" listing because I wanted a "MY Pillow Pet" and was very disappointed when I received the wrong product.

On the plus side, Amazon was very accommodating and issued me a return label immediately. But I had to call Amazon directly instead of using the online return application because it was sold by a 3rd party seller.

This is what you would expect. Decent size very soft and not a knockoff. The strap used to velcro the pillow into a pet shape has a flap of material to cover the scratchy velcro so that the entire thing is soft no matter what way you have it.

When opened as a pillow it is about the size of a standard bed pillow. I ordered the 18 inch version of this and was happy that I did because anything smaller would not have been ideal. The 18 inch version is perfect size.

I ordered this for my little girl for her birthday and it shipped really fast. The est. arrival was almost a week but the item actually arrived within 2 days.

Overall I am pretty happy with this order.

My three year old daughter selected a pillow pet for her birthday. It seems to be well made and easy to use. The Velcro that attaches across the belly has a cover too so you wont scratch your face.

Beware - this may start a pillow pet craze in your house! We now have four total and more have been requested!

If you haven't seen these before, this is a plush pillow that is about the size of a couch throw pillow. When laid out, the pillow is square with the unicorn head sticking off one side. There is a velcro strap which when the pillow is folded in half keeps it that way. It's very cleverly designed with a cover to close over the hooks so that the velcro doesn't scratch the child.

The quality of the original pillow pets is great. Be careful, this is a very popular toy, so there are many imitators. The fur is very soft.

My daughter got this one for Christmas last year (she was 7) its still a favorite.

The extra bonus on these is how great they are for traveling! We always take a pillow pet with us when we travel. The kids can use them to sleep on in the car or on the plane and they serve a dual purpose of having a stuffed animal and a pillow.

They now make a miniature companion to this one that my kids have been asking for for Christmas, a baby unicorn pillow pet. My Pillow Pets Lavender Unicorn 11" These are much smaller than the original pillow pet, more of a stuffed animal than a pillow, I recommend getting the original size if the child you are buying it for doesn't have one already.

My son wanted a pillow pet having seen them advertised on the tv. He's four and a nightmare to put to bed at night. I told him he could have one if he promised to sleep in his own bed each night and all night. Well it's worked. He still wakes up but I tell him he has his pillow pet and he snuggles into it and goes back to sleep. I find the question in point 2 don't really apply because the toy isn't educational and I don't really see it as fun. But is is a lovely idea and he loves it.
