5.0 out of 5 stars One of my favorites!
Ass kicking album. There are some songs from previous album, but some of the new songs are not let down. If you liked the first album, this one won't be disappointement. I've never got tired of listening to them again and again.

Originally known as Gemini, and then as No Mercy, this band recorded their first single in 1991. In 1995 they got in touch with Frank Farian, the German producer who was also responsible for the big success of La Bouche and many years earlier Milli Vanilli, Boney M and Terence Trend D'Arby.

This No Mercy album contains hits like 'Missing' and 'Where Do You Go' which are a must for every Eurodance fan out there.

'Missing' cover is almost identical to the original version, done by Everything But The Girl, but at the same time it is also characterizing for the No Mercy sound. Spanish guitars, smooth basslines and a groovy dancebeat form the basics of the No Mercy sound. No Mercy's version of Missing didn't do quite as well as EBTG's remix and that was a little bit of a downer.

The single 'Kiss You All Over' is a cover of a band called Exile.

'Where Do You Go' was originally performed by none other than La Bouche. La Bouche are rather famous for their dance hit, 'Wanna Be My Lover'. So here, No Mercy's German producer Frank Farian borrowed a song from one of his earlier projects and had No Mercy reperform it.

On the original work side, other than covers 'Missing' and 'Where Do You Go', the noticable song is 'When I Die' which is No Mercy's first ballad. It spent 5 weeks on the number one spot in the Dutch Mega Top 100. 'When I Die' is a catchy Euroballad with that typical spanish guitar and it has a beautiful videoclip shot in Venice, Italy.

Most of the remaining tracks are done by the same producing teams, which were also responsible for the songs of La Bouche album.

All in all the album has a very danceable beat, but I would rather recommend that you invest in a better collection by getting "Ultimate Dance Party 1997", which has better original hits like 'Missing [Todd Terry Club Mix]' by Everything But The Girl, 'Children' by Robert Miles, 'Be My Lover' by La Bouche, 'Macarena' by Los del Mar and also 'Where Do You Go [Ocean Drive Mix]' by No Mercy itself, and even more hits against which this album doesn't stand a chance!

This album, though not up to the mark, is still okay. Leaving out "Where do you go", the other tracks aren't impressive. "Where do you go" is fantastic !
