I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend it. I read it in 2 sittings and would love to have a reading with Chris. Now I realize how much money I have thrown out over the years on so-called psychics. Chris and Sylvia are the real thing. Chris has also written another earlier book about life with his psychic mother that I plan on reading. He has excellent writing skills. If you like Sylvia's writing, you will like Chris's.

While I absolutely adore Sylvia Browne and also Chris by default, this book was an utter disappointment. There is absolutely nothing new in "My Psychic Journey". Even some of the anecdotes overlap with Sylvia's other books. Chris has simply rewritten his mother's books and didn't even both to change the style or tone to fit his own personality. I got nothing from reading it and was sorely disappointed. The only difference between "Psychic Journey" and Sylvia's books is that Chris writes erratically, dragging in some places while not expanding in others. Every single chapter eventually deviates from the original topic and then comes back toward the end, seemingly to make a point (which doesn't happen) which only serves to highlight the fact that the reader has just read several pages about essentially nothing of relevance.

However, if you're entirely new to the topics in both Chris and Syvlia's books, then this may have some value to you. But even as such, I strongly recommend Sylvia's books rather than this one. This is hard to read and has many grammatical errors, which Chris writes off altogether as "his train of thought in which he writes" in a foreword at the beginning of the book.

Overall, I'm extremely disappointed. It's not that I dislike Chris, it's that this book serves no purpose at all. It didn't need to be written and it shouldn't have been written.

Since I am a fan of both Chris Dufresne and Sylvia Browne I've read nearly every book they've written. How to be More Psychic was not disappointing either and made me want to have Chris give me a reading immediately.

I'm so torn as to how to review this book. I love Chris personally (and his mom) but there seems to be so much re-hashing (of his mother's books) and just a bit of hypocrisy (on page 39 he states emphatically that he has absolutely no faith in "trappings" e.g., pendulums, etc. yet on page 139 he goes into detail describing how those trappings should be used). If he holds no store in them, then why is he explaining them to his audience? I also have the feeling that were it not for all the constant mentions of his mother, the book would be a fraction of the already small size that it is. It's interesting that both he and his mother came out w/ a book about the exact same thing at the exact same time. Had Chris not mentioned something about payroll being due again, that would have been my first question.

I had a reading w/ Chris recently and it seems so much of what he told me was almost verbatim from his book (right down to the "floor plan" of my new house that I don't want to move into). And I've heard Sylvia say the exact same things to audience folks on Montel that Chris told me regarding what work I should pursue (literally verbatim from his mom). I sincerely hope that, eventually, I'm one of the many writing in to validate his predictions. In the meantime, it's a nice little book and it shows that he's come a long way from the days when he truly did not want to enter into this line of work.

BTW, to the Michigan writer below: PAUL is Chris's non-psychic brother.

Chris, son of Sylvia Browne, did an excellent job of describing 'a day in the life of a psychic'. He spoke of not only his personal experiences and readings but some of Sylvia Browne's. I know more about her now from just reading his book. I highly recommend this book and intend to read the other book he has written. I would love to have a reading from Chris.

I'm a big fan of Sylvia's books and knowledge (hay house radio), but i was really disapointed by this book.

I thought it would give us more stories about Chris and his experiences and more knowledge on how to see if your child has this gift...you know, fun facts or stories when he was young?

Instead he tells use about his life with his mom and how he became a psychic like her.

This book tells about the author's life with Sylvia Browne and as a psychic himself. It shows how to develop your own psychic powers as well.

Chris has a great writting style. It's like a long conversation. Great book!

This book is very informative regarding the inner workings of the world-renowned psychic Sylvia Browne from the perspective of her son. It made me want to learn more, and I went into several websites to find more books to learn about psychics and to find different reviews of her psychic abilities. I will be ordering more of her books. Now I know why I never see one at a yard sale!
