When I looked at the price of the Bratz pad, I was wishing for a house that wouldn't be so much money and that wouldn't be so large. My Scene then came out with this product. I waited for the price to go down, and it did. I bought it, and it hasn't fell down since. Great job, Mattel!

When I saw this for my 7 yr old My scene/Bratz fan, I thought this was a great idea. However, once unwrapped and put together, I soon realized that this toy was not very durable. Unfortunately my 7 yr old spends most of her time asking me to either put the stairs back together or the columns on the loft back up and she is not hard on toys. I don't feel that it is worth the $50 I paid for it.

I bought this for my eleven year old for Christmas. She loved it, as did I. It doesn't take long to assemble and we played with it for hours. There wasn't really enough room for an eleven year old, a five year old, and their mother to all play though, so she got more furniture for her birthday three days later.

Pros: The music and black light effects give it a real party atmosphere. It was tons of fun on New Years Eve when we stayed up till mid-night. The furniture is much more stylish than the Barbie furniture I grew up with, and the chips and other accessories are a nice touch.

Cons: The construction is a little wobbly. It stands on three pillars and the stair case, so you have to make sure all are aligned properly for stability. The pillars fall off sometimes while moving it, but the pop right back in. Another con was putting all those little stars on the stairs. Real nice for the kids, but I wasn't having fun after applying the first fifteen. :)

I just got this yesterday for an early Christmas present... I put it together in like 30 minutes! It's very durable! And the blanket and the pillows are my favorite accsessories! They are so soft, silky, and furry! If you love my scene then you should get this!!!!! If this were in the top 10 favorite toys in America I nominate in a #1 ( being the best!)

This house is SOOOOO cool! There is Barbie's room, which has this, like, REALLY comfy bed! Yeah! Every night she snuggles down in it! I also like the REAL lights! ITS AMAZING! This is WAAAAY better than the 'Bratz' pad! This house has a cute table where you can set their little meals out even! I also think it is cool with all the chairs so they can just sit/lie down and relax with the mini magazines included! This doesn't come with a My Scene doll (at least, mine didn't!), so you'll have to already have a whole BUNCH of them! I have a truck-load of Barbies and they have all played in this set for HOURS on end!

Great buy! RECCOMENDED!

My children, five and three, love this My Scene Loft. The first floor boasts a big screen TV, fireplace, a sofa, coffee table, chair, decorations, party food and drinks. The details and accessories are pretty amazing, down to the bowl of popcorn. The house also plays music and has a disco-type revolving light system, so the party can really get started.

The second floor has a bed with reversible fur blanket and pillow, dressing table, and room decorations. Leading to the second floor is a set of steps with a balcony at the top.

The first floor is where the party is, the second floor is where guests can crash or the host can go to sleep when the party is over.

This is a very cute toy, but is not without its problems. First and foremost, it comes apart easily. The stairs are in several pieces that snap together, and the top floor is connected to the first floor by four posts and the stairs. If one of the posts get jostled, or if the stairs get knocked by little hands, the entire top floor can fall off.

Second, it was a huge pain to put together, because of the posts needing to line up and the stairs needing to be connected together, and is just as much a pain every time it falls and needs to be put back up. It is not easy to move, such as to put it away when the kids are finished, because it does not fold and if you slide it across the floor, one or two of the posts inevitably come undone and the whole thing crashes.

I realize my children are younger than the recommended age, but I had the same problem with it falling down even when I played with it. (I play with them sometimes, and, when I first set it up Christmas morning, played with it by myself.)

Consequently, while it is a cute toy and my two girls really like it, I couldn't give it five stars because of the fact that I constantly have to rebuild it.

I am 14 years old and have been collecting Barbie Dolls all my life. When the MyScene Dolls came out I was disapointed. I thought it was a total copy of Bratz, which I find a horrible toy for children to play with. But when my friend bought me a doll for my birthday last year, I was hooked. I got this playset for my birthday this year from that same friend and I LOVE it! The concept was great and I had no trouble setting it up. The only thing that I had a problem with is how durable the toy is. Don't get me wrong it did have good quality, it's just every now and then a piece would fall off, but i mean if they would have just fixed that this toy would have been perfect. There is about two stars for educational because let's face it it doesn't teach you much. But does teach children that nothings perfect and that not everything is indistructable (I am an awful speller sorry)so they learn to be a little gentler on things. In my opinon the set was super fun and any MySCene fan will adore it. But just remember that you need to be a little gentler on this than the dolls. I have never had any problems with my dolls and I love them all. This is definatly Barbie for the next generation and in my opinon ALOT BETTER than Bratz. The dolls also teach good friendship and how to follow your dreams since some of the characters have career dreams. The only real thing that bugs me abot MyScene is that the dolls that come with DVD don't come without the DVD. If you could have the option to get them with out th DVD then I would be completly happy since I have several copies of each of the 2 movies. Sorry for rambling on and getting off topic but I hope this helps. So finally in conclusion this is a fun toy and I definatly recommend it for young and old MyScene fans.

My daughter initally asked for the Barbie guitar for Christmas but due to shortages everywhere, we were not able to locate one so we opted to purchase the Party Pad. My daughter absolutely loves it! She didn't even mention the guitar. It doesn't have any educational values but it sure keeps her entertained. She loves that it lights up and plays music. The black light effect is great when activated in the dark. It's not very large which was a concern of ours since with most children items, we are loosing space in which to put everything. It's the perfect size for our household. We are now looking to purchase other My Scene items.

It is fun.it has real music and a Disco ball that changes colors.I got it a couple days ago and it was better than I thouht!!!It has a colerful bed sheet and it has white fuzz under it!!It also has green and blue beeds on the window!!It has a Fir place too!!!It has a Tv and stickers too put on it(and other things).It has cool stairs too!!It has a cool couch too!!For all Myscene Lovers Get this!!!It also has a giant punch bowl!!!IT IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
