Well, it seems Sonia Dada has managed once again to rip out my heart while making me smile the whole time. Lines like, "Fat Jack had a heart attack, he was slumped over dead behind the wheel of his cadillac" and "She don't wanna talk about it anymore, lost the battle, baby, lost the war," make this an unforgettable ride through the strange, surreal land of Dada. And the rythym, that funky, bluesy, spiritual trademark of S.D. has never been richer than it is in "My Secret Life."

These guys just get better and better, this is a stunning album with unmatched musical and lyrical richness.

Although it isn't marked clearly, it is recorded in HDCD as was their previous album, "Lay Down and Love It, Live". The sound quality of this CD is spectacular, I use it as my reference CD when evaluating audio equipment.

I heard "Zachary" on MVY radio and had to hunt it out. Couldn't find the CD in my local stores anywhere and went on line and glad I did. I love every song on the CD and so does my family, kids and old folks. Thanks to MVY, thanks to Amazon. Send me more Sonia Dada!

What a fantastic journey this album is. So many diverse styles and rhythms. And vocals! Who are these people? I just listed to "So Cold" for the first time in a long time and thoroughly enjoyed it. This CD rocks you, lulls you, and just makes you feel great. But the most intriguing cut for me is "Paradise." This just takes me away. "There's a dragon in the garden where the roses grow - burning down the weeds and no one goes inside - with fire in his eyes, he guards the gates of Paradise".... The woman who sings this is superb. A beautiful vocal, arrangement, and experience. You will LOVE this diverse collection.

This is one fantastic cd, more people should know about it! Sonia Dada plays a wide range of styles and sounds on this one. The vocals and bass lines are simply some of the best, along with inovative rythms from the percussions. Buy it, live it and love it (just don't go giving your love away).
