About the Author

Linda Chapman lives in Leicestershire with her husband, daughter and three Bernese Mountain dogs, Poppy, Teasel and Bramble. She learnt to ride when she was three and her first pony was a very stubborn Welsh Mountain pony called Swizzle, who she used to imagine was a unicorn but who unfortunately behaved nothing like Twilight! I ordered this as a surprise for my 7 yr old daughter. She loved it and could not put it down. We have since ordered the rest of the books in this series and look forward to reading them.

The substance of this book/ series is pretty limited, and the narrative is weak with some really silly /overly girlie tones. But sometimes I give my kid a PB&J sometimes too. My kiddo was kicked up by the title and cover as 5-6 year old girls do. "A Unicorn Book!!" then once she read it, more like "eeh..." That's how it is.
Smarter kids will blaze through it, and good exercise for the earlier readers.
It's fluff, just don't take it as serious reading.
