Amazing, until you run out of space!,
A Kid's Review
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: My Secret World by Imagine (Video Game)
I'm 12 years old and I was overjoyed to get this game for Christmas. It fixes everything anyone dislikes about real diaries like not enough light or having a sharpened pencil. The diary is protected by a 4-didgit code that you must enter every time. The first time you play that day, the DS asks your mood which ranges from rockstar to stressed to down and out. The diary also monitors your mood so you can see how many days you were stressed and so on.The acual diary part was really great. You choose a backround and a font (out of 3 fonts) and a color (out of 8 colors) Tapping the keyboard with the stylus takes a little bit of practice but you'll be typing away in no time. The only down side to that is that numbers and symbols are tad difficult. In addition to writing you can also instert a variety of stickers that you unlock over the days. You can even cover up secrets with patches that your friends need to play games to unlock. Some other features include a daily fortune cookie that is surprisingly tween-age appropriate and strangley accurate (but that may just be me) You can also create your own avatar (and an info card with likes/dislikes/and DOB) that looks way over 10-13. It's still enjoyable and you can make ones that resemble your friends. You can also unlock these clothes and acessories each day. Once you create you and your friend(s) you can do an affinity test which isn't really fair if you don't play games with them on the DS. On share DS you can share you game with someone by using the same console. The quizes and games are pretty boring to me but may be fun to say 8 or 9 year olds. On the down side (the reason this review is only two stars) is the fact that a month after I had the game, it told me that I could not write any more pages because I had filled up my diary. I was furious that I had only written 50 or 60 pages and it had no way to transfer my work to a computer. I was very disapointed after having so much fun.

Limited Diary Storage Space,

This is a pretty neat title for the DS, but runs out of space for the diary after ~60 entries. I tried to get this for my 9 yr old daughter so she would start the habit of journal keeping. I was satisfied until it said that there was no more space and an old diary page would have to be deleted in order to make a new one.She had it for about 50 days before it ran out of entry space.
