I had the opportunity to hear and meet Ms. Williamson on a Carnival Caribean cruise ship. She sang in the talent contest and I knew right away from her stage presence that she was definitely an accomplished professional diva. Her voice brings one back to Sarah Vaughn and other jazz divas from the early 1940's to 1960's. I see her becoming a much noted jazz artist in 2000. As she is heard and seen, many will begin to follow her career and her future in the music industry will become a staple throughout the jazz music world.

I have a strong suspicion that we'll be hearing a lot more from this young artist! She has a fresh approach to new material, and she lulls you right in with the familiar standards. I can't wait to see what she does next!

Patrice Williamson sounds very much at ease in this genre of music; it sounds like she has put alot of herself into the music. The band supports her well and I really enjoyed the interplay between the band and Patrice's vocals.

I highly recommend this artist - she has the ability to move you with her vocal ranges and natural talent.
