#1 of the "Dead Ringer" duo - Twin daughters, September 6, 2008
This review is from: My Sister, Myself (Harlequin Intrigue) (Mass Market Paperback)
Tess Mays, 27 and a veterinarian is suddenly informed that she has a twin sister.
She travels to New Harbor to find her sister, Katie in the hospital from a hit and run accident. Was it an accident?
Their father is accused of being a cop on the take and is suspected of murder. Katie is trying to prove him innocent. Now Tess must take over.
Tess meets detective Ryan Hill who also believes that Matt Fields is guilty. Plus she is upset because she cannot get ahold of her mother, Caroline who has just recently remarried.
Tess is trying to get ahold of Nick Pierce, 37, who lives in Alaska and is the son [her step-brother] of the man her mother married.
Wow. It seems something was happening between Katie and Nelson Lingford and his mother, Madeline. Irene Woodall, and art dealer, introduces Tess to Madeline.
After 2 break-ins Ryan insists on Tess coming to his apartment. She gets shot at and roughed-up. Now these two need each other.
It is an intrigueing story - very good charactes - decent plot -- but where, oh where do these females, who resist commitement, believe pre-marital sex is going to get them love? They are ditzy!
Not a bad read - Just ......
