5.0 out of 5 stars Wish they would release more #4 books, January 7, 2009
This review is from: My Sister the Vampire #3: Re-Vamped! (Paperback)
I finally found a book my daughter will read, she loves these books and always comes to tell me some exciting part. It is a shame that they have not released anymore copies of #4, because the only option I have is to buy one for $180.00, what's up with that. The retail price is $5.99, talk about price gouging, guess my daughter will have to wait. SHAME on you people!

5.0 out of 5 stars My Daughter Loves this Series!, August 15, 2008

I bought this series for my 10 year old daughter and she loves the series. She has read all four book at least 4 times this summer. It does have a different take on vampires, but since the author is targeting pre-teens I think it is appropriate to make the vampires less violent and evil than you read in some vampire novels. My daughter is looking forward to more books being released by Siena Mercer.

5.0 out of 5 stars My Nine Year Old has Been Vamped, March 28, 2011
By
This review is from: My Sister the Vampire #3: Re-Vamped! (Paperback)
My Nine-year-old daughter came home from the school book fair with a big fanged grin. I happen to read paranormal and vampire romances fairly often. (Okay all the time.) She whipped out the book from her bag ready to start reading. She said she got it 1) for the pretty cover and 2) because she knew I loved vampire stories and we could read it together even though there wouldn't be any romance, except that Ivy has a boyfriend.
After three nights of reading together she got frustrated and started carrying it with us everywhere trying to get in every page she could.
Ivy and Olivia are adventuresome, curious, bold, shy and well mannered, Twin sisters (one human -pink bunny; one vampire - goth and bats) who met each other when Olivia, and her family, moved to town. It is the girls desire to find out where they come from, why they were kept apart and to never allow that to happen again. It becomes front page news at school, in the vampire community, and in the local press. The vampire scientists are also eager to study the 'anomaly' of a human and vamp set of twins.
The cliffhanger at the end throws me for a loop. So if you can get both books three and four, at the same time, I suggest you do.

The books are about family, friends and community. Even the bad girl isn't a total monster. It is nice to be able to share these darling, lovable, quirky sisters with my daughter.

5.0 out of 5 stars Really Awesome Book!, November 26, 2010
A Kid's Review
This review is from: My Sister the Vampire #3: Re-Vamped! (Paperback)
I really loved Re-Vamped! I know that this is part of a series and is book 3 but I actually read the whole thing without knowing it was book 3 and I really enjoyed it! It's basically about two twin sisters named Ivy and Olivia. Ivy is a vampire and Olivia is a human cheerleader. Ivy and Olivia were kept seperate from eachother and weren't adopted together so they found out on their own that they were sisters. It's a really great book and I'm sure that you'll enjoy it whether you're old or young!

5.0 out of 5 stars My sister the vampire 3 revamped, August 25, 2009

This review is from: My Sister the Vampire #3: Re-Vamped! (Paperback)
This series deals with twin sisters separated shortly after their first birthday when their mortal mom died in a car accident. In the third installment of the series the newspapers are coming out with article about local twins rediscover one another. Left with no other choice their force to tell their adopted parents. Olivia parents think it wonderful for her though they don't understand the concept of the Goth look. Ivy's father however doesn't take it as well and decides to take the European job that he had previous rejected that could separate the twins again. This story continue the girls investigation in the truth which makes me think that Ivy never been adopted at all and that her dad is really Olivia's too (though that fact isn't revealed one way or another in this book just personal opinion.) Olivia is put through a vampire loyalty test what would result in having her memory of her sister erased if she fails and learns what happens when a mortal drinks a vampire heath drink by mistake.

4.0 out of 5 stars Courtesy of Teens Read Too, May 9, 2008
This review is from: My Sister the Vampire #3: Re-Vamped! (Paperback)
Usually, the first day of middle school is full of nervousness and excitement. Not knowing what to expect from the teachers or the upperclassmen, being at the bottom of the middle school food chain is always tough.

For Olivia Abbott, the first day of middle school was full of excitement that changed her life forever. Turns out Olivia has a twin sister named Ivy. But Ivy isn't just any sister -- she's also a vampire.

Olivia certainly doesn't mind that Ivy is very different from herself, and her adoptive parents are just as welcoming as she is. They even invited Ivy to stay for dinner and some quality bonding time. The girls hope to eventually figure out who their biological parents are.

Ivy's father, on the other hand, isn't interested in getting to know Olivia, since his mindset is on a job he received in Europe. Meaning Ivy and Olivia will once again be torn apart, unless they can come up with a plan for Ivy to stay.

Aside from the fact that Ivy might be moving away, Olivia and her loyalty towards vampires is being questioned. Plus, all of the angst that comes with being in middle school is adding obstacles to the girls' long road to finally becoming the sisters that they were meant to be.

Heartwarming and hilarious, RE-VAMPED!, the third book in the MY SISTER THE VAMPIRE series, adds on to the already original story line. A twist on finding a lost sibling, Sienna Mercer definitely knows how to entertain.

RE-VAMPED is the third book in the "My Sister the Vampire" series. They are very fun, enjoyable books. It's the story of Olivia and Ivy, identical twin sisters, but one of them, Ivy, is a vampire. This is not the typical vampire novel where undead, fanged vampires hide in the shadows, thirsting for human blood. Ivy is a Goth teenager, who happens to be a vampire. Some of her best friends are vampires, too. They are part of a larger vampire community who want to live out their vampiric lives. In this book, Ivy and Olivia try to find their birth parents and to determine if Olivia is part vampire. This book gives an alternate view of vampires, from being evil blood-drinkers to perhaps being your best friend...or your sister. This book is highly recommended.
