Book Description

November 1, 2008
When sisters Margaret, Rose, and Quincy Lansing receive the tragic news that a car accident has claimed the life of their mother, they must return to their childhood home - and to one another's company. Although they are shocked and heartbroken, none of the Lansing sisters is eager to be back. For the painful memories they thought they'd left behind have suddenly resurfaced...The Lansings were never a close or loving family. And each sibling had long ago found her own means of escape-Margaret into her lab work, Rose into her "perfect" marriage, Quincy into her acts of rebellion. So when crisis forces them together again, they discover that they know as little about one another as they did about their mother. And in unravelling her secrets, they find not only revelation, but also strength, hope, sisterhood, and a chance for love...

More About the Author

I'm a bit of a voyeur. Actually, I'm plain-out nosey. I love to stick my nose into total strangers' business and observe how they deal with life's hurdles and whatever obstacles fate throws at them. I can't think of anything more challenging or interesting than delving into a character's psyche to discover what makes her/him tick. The surprises and insights are amazing.

The people who interest me most are the ones I know will fall in love despite their problems and seemingly insurmountable differences. For me, writing stories about these people is both a learning experience and a whole lot of fun.

Whenever I'm deep into a story, I walk around and mutter to myself. I drift off in the middle of a conversation or grab a pen and paper to jot down an amazing sentence or phrase that popped into my head. When you behave that way, people think you're crazy. From time to time my husband and three daughters do wonder ... But they love me and are my biggest fans, and if I'm slightly wacko they accept me anyway.hurdles and whatever obstacles fate throws at them. I can't think of anything more challenging or interesting than delving into a character's psyche to discover what makes her/him tick. The surprises and insights are amazing.

This review is from: My Sisters (Mass Market Paperback)
I enjoyed this book and the characters. I love it when you peel back the layers to reveal the true character or incident. It was a bit repetitive though, and some of the issues were forced.
