This is folk music at its best. I bought the CD after seeing him live, which was a great show. There is no bad track on this album. All the songs have great melodies and wonderful lyrics. Buy this CD! You will not be dissapointed!

I *found* James on the Lightfoot Tribute CD, Beautiful. This CD - My Skies - is the third of James' I've added to my collection. His voice is unique. His songs are well written, both lyrics and music. I especially like River Run, a song about seeing things differently in childhood. Anyone who likes Gordon Lightfoot, or James Taylor, I think, will like James Keelaghan.

Good Album,

I own this and Timelines, both of which are excellent albums for those who like music in the folk or singer/songwriter tradition. Glory Bound and Kiri's Piano are both beautiful ballads. I haven't heard any of his newer music, so I don't know whether those who like his recent releases will like this album.

One of Keelaghan's Best,

If you want a Canadian singer/songwriter along the lines of Stan Rogers, then James Keelaghan won't steer you wrong. My Skies contains some of his best, including Kiri's Piano and Glory Bound.

This is my favorite of his CD's.
If his voice wasn't enough to grab you, the lyrics will reel you in. Kiri's Piano haunts me, all the more poignant because it was based on a true story....Orion waltzes summer into winter...Better Days is a good mantra for not-so-better days.

This is one of James Keelaghan's earlier CD's and is no longer available. I was able to get a new copy though Amazon's used copy dealers. The lyrics have a lot to say, the title track, My Skies deals with the reality that when viewed by different individuals all facts may not look the same. He has a unique ability to tell a story though song, as in Kiri's Piano. Although he has an amazing voice,I think it has gotten better with age as proven by his latest CD "House of Cards".
