Not enough Commander Mark,

Like Mr. Ray, I was influenced by Mark Kistler's drawing instruction ( check out Mark Kistler's Imagination Station ), and the five episodes in this DVD are a paean to that inspiration. Urging people to step out of the social trance and develop their own creativity cannot be done too often. I congratulate Mr. Ray for having the courage to follow his dream and produce independent art. I would be interested in seeing what he can do outside the straitjacket of this format.
However, the humor in these episodes struck me as decidedly adolescent (think Beavis and Butthead) and the necessity to recap the plot line with each short episode made watching them back to back very repetitive. |
