This book picks right up from my son's wife. Frankie, Rena, Stiles, Paster and Mrs. Graham. First lady is still the same woman as she was in the first book. The book had some new comers that were interesting. Unfortunately, I had hoped for some different outcomes but the ones that did occur were great. This is a great book and I highly recommend it. A must read if you read the first part...

Chauncey Graham, former Pastor of Holy Rock Ministries, a man who severely loved the God he served, and his First Lady Audrey Graham, who served proudly at his side. But when tragedy strikes Chauncey, will his faith prove enough to pull them through? Or will the secrets the First Lady holds shake the faith of all it touches, or will it be their demise?

Stiles Graham, second generation Pastor of Holy Rock Ministries, since his beloved father has stepped down because of failing health. Once married to Rena, a beautiful woman who loved the Lord almost as much as Stiles did. Divorced because of Rena's indiscretion, will Stiles learn to forgive her or will his anger become his undoing.

Rena Graham, former wife of Stiles, banished with shame of her indiscretions and lies. Can she continue to run from her past, or will her past continue to run after her.

Francesca, the baby of the family, who has her own secrets, that become a bitter pill for her, playing havoc in her life as she tries to quiet the demons inside. Can she strip away the stench of her past? Will she remember the God she once served loves her through the good as well as the bad?

This family of God, who preaches and teaches thru their Ministry the word, learn forgiveness when with their own secrets and misgivings prove otherwise?

I love how the author touched on the subject of health,throughout the story. Giving a glimpse of what can happen to the temple we call our bodies.

This book showed us that even those we trust to lead us spiritually have problems of their own, they are human not above faults, and failures. But it also reminds us that you can come to God and lay your problems at his feet and whatever it is, just trust and believe. God can do anything but fail!

The Grahams are back in Shelia Lipsey's MY SON'S EX WIFE. Audrey Graham could not even fathom her son, Stiles, getting a divorce. She worked so hard to hook him up with her daughter's best friend, Rena. She looked at Rena as a daughter but when it was revealed that Rena had an affair the Grahams were devastated. To make matters even worse, the affair was with Stile's sister, Francesca. Rena had no choice but to leave Memphis and try to start a new life. She wants nothing more but to put all of the drama of the Grahams in her past. Francesca (Frankie) has also moved. She does not want anyone to be able to contact her. She blames everything on Audrey and decides that she can do better without her family. Trying to heal from sexual abuse and HIV, Frankie goes on a journey to find God again.

Stiles is now in Memphis and feels alone. He can not quite understand the relationship between the best friends and thinks maybe he acted too fast when he asked Rena for a divorce. Meanwhile, Audrey and Pastor Graham are trying to work through the pastor's declining health. Audrey feels stressed from taking care of him and starts to neglect her own health. On top of that, she is now on a mission to find Stiles another wife. NO she has not learned from the first time. Tragedy strikes and brings everyone back to Memphis. Will everyone be able to forgive each other? Will Stiles and Rena get back together?

Lipsey does not disappoint with this sequel to MY SON'S WIFE. You learn that forgiveness is the key. You cannot fully move on until you forgive those that have done you wrong. All of the characters learned this in their own way. If you read the first one, you do not want to miss this one. Not sure if it is the conclusion. Lipsey left it open for a potential third book.

I've waited for over a year to read this book and I was not disappointed. I wanted the story to go in a different direction, but in the end, I'm glad it went the other way. First Lady, even in her bad times, was still a hoot. I couldn't find it in me to forgive her at all, thus my review title. I'm like Frankie and still working on that. As for Frankie, she is who she is. I totally enjoyed this book and almost which there was a third, but can live with the ending that it has.

After the fall out surrounding the dissolution of marriage between Stiles and Rena Graham does not avoid its share of controversy, no matter how hard all parties work to keep things silent. When Stiles can't leave well enough alone, and drops a devastating blow to the family's already deteriorating psyche, tragedy strikes. No longer able to run from their woes of their past, the Graham family must hold on to their faith more than ever.

This book was well worth the wait. Questions were answered that I didn't even know I had from the first book. It was seamlessly written, dropping religious pearls along the way. I admired the changes that each character made within showing that they could become the bigger person. I have already recommended this book to anyone who has read the first book in this series. Seeing the change in characters like Frankie, while still uncovering the fact that there was massive internal conflict, allowed the human aspect of this book to stay intact. No one was above reproach and in the end we all must answer to someone with a power higher than ourselves.

Shelia Lipsey's story of the Graham family Soga continues. In this Page turner Shelia takes you in the twisted mind of First Lady Audrey Graham. Into the misunderstood daughter Francesca Graham, the stunning son Stiles Graham, and Dad, the Great Reverend Graham. Past forbidden love affair revealed nearly destroys the Graham family. In "My Sons Ex-Wife" Stiles Ex-Wife Rena recent divorcee, tries to move on with the handsome and great catch Robert Becton. When the sudden death of Audrey bring everyone back to have to face up to their feelings and and to bring closure to a relationship that tore a family in to diasterous state. This novel (sequel) was definitely an AfterMath! It focuses on faith, forgiveness, repentance as well as restoration. Stiles and Rean's marriage definitely ended on a sour note. Stiles, being the Pastor that he is has to learn about forgiveness as well. The Grahams dirty laundry finally gets aired out and lives are almost ruined. All the characters in this sequel learns what it means to forgive and repent. Francesca's deep dark secrets are exposed although she never shared them with her best friend, Rena. The story starts to unfold and things become very complicated for everyone involved. Everyone's faith gets tested and GOD shows himself present like he always does. I must say that both novels were excellent reads. I was pleased how the story ended although I'm curious as to whether or not Rena and Robert will have a story of their own. Who says that one cannot have a second chance at Love? I'm definitely a FAN of Shelia E. Lipsey! I'll be waiting as patiently as I can for MSNW-"My Son's Next Wife" to be released next summer. Both novels were definitely a page turner!

I really enjoy this book...it was a great read. I strive to give areview without giving it away. You will not be disappointed when you do read this book. Happy reading.

My Son's Ex-Wife is the sequel to My Son's Wife by Shelia E. Lipsey. In this subsequent novel we find the divorced Stiles pondering feelings for his ex-wife Rena. Added to the his woes is his mother's determination to find him a suitable mate, his father's declining health as well as concerns for the health of his mother.

Through the ups and downs of the family Ms. Lipsey has woven a strong message for the necessity of forgiveness of self and others.

This was a very good book! It's the continuation of the author's "My Son's Wife." the first book was better but this is still a must read! I learned that when someone REALLY loves you, it's unconditional!
