5.0 out of 5 stars See the art in this book, June 6, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: My Spirit Flies: Portraits and Prose of Women in Their Power (Paperback)
I enjoyed this "book," but I put that word in quotes because I think it really should be seen as art. Angell's photographs are, after all, a travelling exhibit. This is just the small-scale, paged version of the exhibit.

I have also written a more detailed review of this book at [online].

5.0 out of 5 stars A gift of photography and prose, November 21, 1998

This review is from: My Spirit Flies: Portraits and Prose of Women in Their Power (Paperback)
Cathy Angell, whose obvious talent for catching on film the empowered spirit of her subject, has given her readers a positive connection with what resides at the core of each of us when we dare to live life with *heart*. As I read the text accompanying Angell's photos, I was struck with the integrity of her book. Here each of us honestly can find something to hope for, something to pin our dreams on, and renewed pride.
