Karen Oberlin's premier CD is an auspicious debut for this fine singer. It's fun, romantic, and exciting. She's definately a voice you'll be hearing alot of. Her smooth glassy voice has the power, range, and subtlety to serve the wonderful standards she's chosen for this CD. Brava, Karen!

Her clear, beautiful voice winds its way through rich, beautiful melodies singing touching and beautiful lyrics.

Most of the songs on this album are love songs. They touch the heart in a style reminiscent of a bygone era and do so in way that makes one wish to be part of that era. It is simply Beautiful.

This is a fine collection and can be heartily recommended for anyone who likes to hear a woman sing accompanied by piano in the style of an intimate lounge.

Karen Oberlin's voice is one you'll be hearing a lot of. Listening to her sing "My Standards" is like sailing on a sea of glass: smooth, bright, and beautiful. The CD is classy and a very exciting premier for a very promising new vocalist. Fun, romantic, classy: what more can you ask from a CD?
