This is a timeless, beautiful album. I had this album years ago and lost it. It took years of searching to replace it. I won't lose this one! All the songs are beautifully written and recorded. They are also unforgettable. The title song "My Time" is haunting and lovely, while others such as "Dinah Flo" and "Might Have To Cry" are more rock/blues. Also, "Freedom For The Stallion" and "Slowly In The West" are absolute gems. Gems!

You'll be very happy you purchased this CD, and you'll enjoy it for years to come! One of Boz's best!

Along with the album "Moments", the album "My Time" is one of
Boz Scaggs lost classics. "My Time" contains two excellent rock songs, "Dinah Flo" and "Full Lock Power Slide" that alone make the
album worth buying. While Dinah Flo is available on Boz "Hits!"
album and the "My Time" anthology, "Full Lock Power Slide" is sadly
missing. Full Lock is reminiscent of Boz "Dime-a-Dance Romance" done with Steve Miller.

My Time also contains a number of other fine songs including a nice cover of Al Green's "Old Time Lovin'".

My Time made the transition to CD before Columbia/Sony allowed it to be dropped from their catalog. It is a worthwhile listen if you can obtain a copy. Hopefully it will be re-issued again.

Boz Scaggs rock/soul/ballad mixture has something for everyone and not a weakness in sight. Not as 'simple' as some of his later material, these tracks deserve a couple of hearings. Well written songs (Amazon should give song writing credits when it lists tracks) played by high class musicians. You can tell they enjoyed making the album, ...reward yourself...

His best "complete" album. No wasted songs here. It's beauty has been sustained throughout the years. I still listen to it frequently.

I love this album; it was my first introduction to Boz Scaggs. Although his other albums are great, this one remains the closest to my heart. I really wish it would be issued on CD as my vinyl copy is wearing out!

The best piece on this fabulous album is the title song, "My Time." Never has Scaggs sang with such a malancholy longing in his voice. I owned a tape of the album when I was merely a teenager. It never left me. It actually helped form my love for lyricism in music.

I've been searching for this cd ever since they were conceived. It,s one of my all-time favorite albums and I can't believe my search is over!

Have old-time Boz Scaggs fans forgotten this album and just how good it is? I did. Granted, it was unavailable for quite a long time but then Japan came through once again with a remastered reissue. I had this on 8-track years ago, then on cassette but hadn't thought about in for a while until I saw it while perusing the Boz Scaggs listings here. I ordered it from an amazon partner at a good price and it arrived within days.
Man, how this brings back memories! This is much better than the few songs from this CD that are on his greatest hits compilation. In retrospect, My Time is one of the best Boz Scaggs albums. I put it up there close to Moments as a must-own for Scaggs fans. It has rock, it has some of his trademark romantic balladry, and oh, it is just loaded with soul. Unfortunately, My Time and its predecessors were overshadowed by the huge commercial success of Silk Degrees which many people falsely think is his first album.
My favorites are Dinah Flo, Might Have To Cry, Freedom For the Stallion, and the tasty title cut. Though the CD offers no bonus cuts, it does come with a booklet of lyrics in English and in Japanese.
The Japanese must really like the music of Boz Scaggs as they have come through with reissues of his other out-of-print CDs. If you are a Boz Scaggs fan, you need to own this while its still available. If you are a fan who has never heard My Time, get yourself a copy, it will blow you away.
