If you like gospel music, and if pop is one of your guilty pleasures, then "My Tribute" is certain to please you. Carola Haggkvist has been a popular vocalist in Sweden for many years, singing both secular pop and gospel music, and this CD showcases her amazing vocal abilities, backed by the wonderful harmonies of Joybells Gospel Choir (a group whose music is difficult to find in North America). Those who like this CD will also find the Oslo Gospel Choir's "This Is the Day: Live in Montreux" very satisfying. And when the Christmas holidays roll around, do yourself a favor and get Carola's beautiful "Christmas in Bethlehem" (also available as a download). Carola and the Oslo Gospel Choir may be Scandinavia's finest exports.
