5.0 out of 5 stars Great book - it WORKS and it makes sense
I got the book, I tried it, and it WORKS - I had psoriasis all over my body, and now after 2 months I only have a few spots on my feet!! The author's ideas about psoriasis are the clearest of any "expert". When I overate all the time and ate crappy foods, my body got rid of alot of this excess waste through my skin, so it's no wonder that my psoriasis never...

1.0 out of 5 stars The book deals mostly with fasting
I didn't like this book at all. Deals mostly with fasting, some as long as 22 days and one in which you don't drink ANY liquids including water for an extended period of time. Certainly a child shouldn't follow any of his guidelines. Surely there are better ways of dealing with this disease. My copy goes back to amazon.

I got the book, I tried it, and it WORKS - I had psoriasis all over my body, and now after 2 months I only have a few spots on my feet!! The author's ideas about psoriasis are the clearest of any "expert". When I overate all the time and ate crappy foods, my body got rid of alot of this excess waste through my skin, so it's no wonder that my psoriasis never had a chance to heal. And because my body spent all of its energy digesting food, it didn't have a chance to fix any of my psoriasis scales. By stopping the overeating, pacing my meals and eating the right foods, my psoriasis started getting better right away, and kept getting better. The author isn't saying that you have to starve to death to get rid of your psoriasis, just to start changing the way that you eat.

I have been recommending this book to EVERYONE who has psoriasis, and I recommend it here.

5.0 out of 5 stars This book gave me back my life!, March 13, 1999
By A Customer

This morning I sat in front of the mirror, and I cried for two hours.

Ten years. I have had psoriasis for ten years. And for reasons my doctor can't explain most of my psoriasis was on my face, neck, and chest. I went through all the medications and treatments. Nothing. I had to always go out with blouses covering my neck or wearing scarfs, and usually I wore big floppy hats. I would never be seen in a bathing suit.

I have been on Robinson's plan for two weeks. His ideas make so much sense when nothing else I read did - He made me understand that my body was using my skin to get rid of the toxic crap I was eating.

As soon as I started doing what Robinson did my psoriasis started going away. All of those years, ten years of suffering - if I only had his book back then!

This morning I got up and went to the mirror. It was gone! Just a few tiny specks, that's all. I started to cry and couldn't stop. Most of all I knew that my psoriasis would not come back, because the cure came from inside of me. It came from ME - no doctors, no medicine, no ointments.

I normally don't write letters, but I felt it was important that everyone that has psoriasis has got to get this book, and then give it to everyone they know.

Mr. Robinson, from the bottom of my heart, thank you

Do not buy this book. It is all about fasting yet gives very few details about actually undertaking a fast. If you want to fast to heal yourself, research a good book on how to fast. This book is a very small, short paperback with huge margins, large print. It could have been more like a chapter in a "real" book. As I said, it gave very little useful information on fasting. I bought it out of the usual tendency of psoriatics to learn more and find something that works. What is working for me is the method laid out by John Pagano which is a very good, informative, encouraging read; Healing Psoriasis the Natural Alternative.

5.0 out of 5 stars This book helped me too - and I don't have psoriasis, April 11, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: My Triumph over Psorasis: Curing Disease Without Medication (Paperback)
I got this book about a month ago for my young cousin who has a bad case of psoriasis, and from the very beginning he said that he started to see a big difference in his psoriasis. He said that for the first time his psoriasis was healing differently than with the other treatments, almost like from the inside out, as if his skin was pushing away what wasn't wanted.

I started reading the book and started to follow some of the nutrition ideas because they are easy to do and make a lot of sense, and I already feel about a million times better.

Most important to me is what Robinson said about heart disease, because I'm getting to the age when some of my friends are now getting heart attacks and I want to do something about it now.

I really believe that following the Robinson plan will help keep me healthy for a very long time. And the book is really helping my cousin.

5.0 out of 5 stars Finally - A book that says it all, and says it right, April 10, 1999

Great book. Robinson makes so much sense when he talks about how we get sick and about how we never give our bodies a chance to get better.

I would give this book to anyone who has any kind of disease because the stuff he talks about works with any disease. That's because he's talking about how to get healthy.

Really, if you're sick, or you know somebody who is, you have got to buy this book.

1.0 out of 5 stars An unfeasible and dangerous approach, September 30, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: My Triumph over Psorasis: Curing Disease Without Medication (Paperback)
I ordered this book blindly, with a few others, for my daughter. She was desperate and I was thankful she didn't use the dry fasting approach recommended in this book. I was somewhat mortified by it. As a nurse, it looked dangerous to me. My daughter has since opted for Dr. Pagano's approach (Healing Psoriasis, The Natural Alternative) and her skin is dramatically improved in only two weeks by just using the diet. I would not recommend Robinson/Raffle's book to anyone.
