This is a beautiful daily devotional with simple, straight-forward messages that stir your soul. Several years ago I had heard that this book is President George W. Bush's favorite. I always meant to check it out, but never did until I went shopping one day and saw it on sale. I bought one, and I love it so much I bought 2 more to give to my friends.

This is one of the best devotionals out there. It goes much deeper into your thoughts. As for teens my niece was visiting us this summer, she's 17. She had some doubts about God like does he really exsit and she didn't know if she really believed in Him anymore. She was raised Catholic but was feeling rebelious I'd guess you'd say. We had this book in our guest bathroom and she picked it up and started reading it, she hasn't put it down since. She says that she really feels like it speaks to her and it says things that she's feeling so she's understanding what God is telling her, more so than the bible, she says. I told her that is isn't a substitute for the bible and that she should read the scripture that it references each day in the bible so she can get the full picture of why Oswald was so passionate about Christ.

I keep several on hand for gifts. People are always appreciative and impressed by its look as well as the beautiful, meaningful content.

I love this little book. It helps me start my day focused on what's important.
I gave these as gifts to 5 of my friends and love it too. A wonderful meditational resource.
