Good learning book!
First, I like Eric Carle's drawings. The pictures are engaging and easily recognizable. My daughter likes playing with these "my very first. . ." books. The pages are split and the child is supposed to match the animal to the motion. It is a mixture of words and pictures. We look at the pictures together and talk about what we see, size, color and type of animal. My...

Not what I expected...
Most "my first..." books are directed to babies and young toddlers. It may be good for an older toddler but the top and bottom pages that turn separately are too tough for my 16 month old.

There is so much more that you can do with these books than just match! Entertaining and educational!
