Released in late 1977, after Elvis's death, My Way became an international hit. It peaked at 22 on the US Billboard singles chart, but reached number 2 on the Billboard country chart and number 1 on the rival Cashbox country singles chart. It was a top ten hit in the UK and several other countries. The single was certified GOLD by the RIAA. It showed that Elvis could still sing in the final weeks of his life.
