The list author says: "I read historical romances for a longtime before venturing into contemporaries and I'm so glad that I expanded time periods! There are some really wonderful books out there and here is a list of some of my favorites. More will be added as they're read and loved :-)"
"5 stars --- Stepp Sisters Trilogy, Book 2 One of the best romances I've ever read. The leading characters are wonderful and complex, three-dimensional and both flawed. The romance is sweet and passionate and utterly amazing - with great chemistry! Plus, this book deals with the real issues of alcoholism and body image issues, which adds a sense of reality to a *great* book."
"5 stars This was an absolutely charming and engaging read, *hysterically* funny, had fantastic primary and secondary characters, an interesting plot, witty dialogue, and I could go on and on and on. Main characters also have their own issues to overcome - Min has body image issues and Cal has dyslexia."
"5 stars --- Chinooks Hockey Team Series, Book 2 Would give this book more than five stars if I could; read a library copy and immediately bought my own when I finished it. Jane and Luc were *wonderful* characters and their interactions were very enjoyable; the supporting cast was also great. This book was a nice change in that here it is the heroine who causes the main conflict, not the hero."
"5 stars --- Chicago Stars, Book 2 Highly enjoyable, cute and very funny! The interactions between the hero and heroine were priceless with interesting supporting characters that added to the story. Gracie was a wonderful heroine - thoughtful, sweet, bold, stubborn, sassy, and intelligent. Bobby Tom was also utterly fabulous - intelligent, witty, amusing, giving, kind, and of course 100% charming."
