When my daughter at 18 months understood cause and effect of using the mouse on my husbands computer, I figured I should find out a way to encourage her curiosity without the fear of erasing or damaging the computer. I researched a lot of keyboards & this one is the one I finally chose. It's the correct keyboard layout for letters, the buttons are nice and large & the biggest plus is that several keys are not included on the board and it eliminates the worry of accidentally pushing the wrong combination of keys that can erase or damage vital computer information. It's also spillproof.

We got this keyboard for our 15 month old. Whenever he saw Mommy or Daddy on the computer he would say "puter" and want to press the keys. With its colorful keys and appropriate software he now plays on the computer almost daily. The keys are large which makes it easy for his small fingers. The numbers are all one color, vowels a 2nd color, and consonants a 3rd. When he plays games that only require numbers having the numbers is a separate color make it easier for him to press the right keys. Just a little coaching and he gets it.

The only issue we have is the mouse. At this point his hands are too small for the mouse and he has troubles using it. Once he gets a little bigger it will be fine. If the mouse were smaller though it would be too small once he gets bigger so there really isn't much that could be done. Having it bigger will allow him to grow into it which is a better option.

Overall and excellent product, would recommend to anyone looking for a toddler keyboard.

I am, over all, happy with this purchase.
It was purchased for my 15 month old grandson and he does enjoy using it. It can take a lot of abuse and is fairly easy for him to use.
I do wish it did not have a 'delete' key, though, as he gets frustrated when he hits it and his 'game' is gone!
He most enjoys just using WordPad on one of the wingding or webding fonts.
We have not used the mouse much yet as he is more interested in trying to get to the little red light than in using it to do things on the computer screen. I am sure that will change as he gets older, though!
