About the book: I read most of this book and it had some realy basic stuff in it. If you already have a decent myspace, there are no secrets in this book. If you are new to Myspace this or Bob Baker's (very basic as well) would be a good start.

About Ty Cohen:
I don't trust this guy. I've read one other book of his (got it from the library though) and was reviewing it on amazon and found dozens of really obviously fake reviews about how great his book is. Also, I looked at the reviewers and they had reviewed other music books but promoted him in the reviews of these other books. I think there is a difference in marketing/promotion and just flat out dishonestly.

this book is simply a rip off. Before I bought it i read really good reviews about it until I saw a review saying that Ty cohen itself might have been writting them! Well despite being warned, I went ahead and bought it for who knows which reason....anyway, it was a real disapointment and wish I spent my money on a cheaper and better book cause this one ain't worth my money (or yours!). Not being experienced and familliar with myspace, I thought that this book could only be a good asset and that i could only learn from it...but I was so wrong, it s so basic and full of advertisement for other books and websites on which he certainly wants you to waste your money on! Trust me, after buying one of his book you probably won't buy anymore from him, this is surely why his books are so expensive cause he knows it would be his only chance to get money from you so he tries to take as much as possible! You know what, for your own sake and other good writter's who provide books worth spending your money on, please don't make that mistake of making someone get richer by ripping people off!

If you are like me then you don't really know your way around the web or MySpace. I needed a website for my band and was considering the benefits of MySpace. I needed a little guidance sense I am not too web savvy. I ordered this guide so I could learn the proper way to market my band on MySpace. Now we have thousands of friends and tons of new fans! A great help!

This is an excellent book that will guide you through the process of myspace. If you want to know how to use myspace and set it up, this is the book for you. It is detailed and very infomative. I love this book.

This book is awesome. From beginners to experienced myspace music page users, everyone will find what they need here. It goes into EVERYTHING regarding myspace -- strategies I never thought of before. Lots of "AHA!" moments to be had, and the skills given here actually work.
And the included web resources, references and links are ALONE worth the price of the book. Get this!

Myspace is probably the best place to be to be noticed and this book gives you the tips and techniques you need to get noticed. It's a must have for the new world! Even if you have a website, myspace is essential to getting your music out and MySpace Magic gives you the knowledge to do so.

If you're marketing your band and hope to make it today, myspace is the place to be. I never thought bands could be so successful by marketing themselves on a website that was supposed to be all about online chat. They do though, and this book explains just how they manage to do that. I was quite surprised by the figures Cohen highlights in this book to show how big a help it can be.

The book exposes myspace for what it is - a networker's paradise! He shows just how to exploit that and make the jump into the music industry. It provides a map of the site and how to make the most of the access to a different audience that it gives. His ideas, including putting an original song onto your homepage are genius and, whilst it can seem a bit basic in places, it draws attention to elements of navigating myspace that you may otherwise miss. If you are looking for a new audience, a global one at that, this book is the perfect way to get help starting up.
