The most effective nail gel that I've used is Nonyx. The only catch is that it's on the expensive side. This product, Mycocide KD, is a bit of a knock-off. It has similar ingredients, similar thickness, similar instructions and comes in the same 4oz. The main selling point is that you get two bottles for the same price as one bottle of Nonyx.

When I first wrote this review, I gave Mycocide KD 4 stars because it worked, just not as quickly as Nonyx. Recently, though, some nails have started to get a little worse, despite consistent, twice-daily application. Maybe the fungus has gotten somewhat inured to the product or maybe I need to re-think something that I'm doing. Regardless, I've changed my review to 3 stars. It's an OK product that is probably half as effective as Nonyx, which goes with it being half as expensive. It may work better for you.

In the end, I still recommend Nonyx. If you want the fastest results and don't mind paying for the best, go with that. If, however, you're the sort who is always looking for cheap solutions and is somewhat patient, it may be worth it to you to give Mycocide KD a shot. You may find that it works for you and that there was no need for you to pay more for another product.

I was really excited to use this product. When it arrived I promptly opened it and found a coupon inside. The coupon expired in 2008, which means the product had to be manufactured sometime in 2007, if not before. I don't know if this product expires or not, but this is a very old product (at the time of this review it is Sep.-2013.) The product itself seemed okay, but after a few days of use the lid broke on the dispenser. I ended up pouring the product into a squeeze bottle, but it doesn't work nearly as well as the dispenser the product came with.

I've used the product for a couple weeks now, with no noticeable difference. Everything I've read tells me it takes months for this product to work. Unfortunately with my squeeze bottle too much product comes out at one time; normally this product and it's volume would last several months, but I don't think it will last that long for me.

Of an interesting note, this product shipped from New York, but was manufactured in California. The product came to me quickly, but still, why New York. Maybe the company discontinued this product and sold it to some discount warehouse in New York; I went to Woodward Laboratories website and I did not find this product there.

Also, the product does not seem to dry once applied. Maybe this is normal, but I doubt it.

On the plus side, this product comes with 2 containers of medicine, 4 application sticks and 4 nail files. An all around good deal for $10 with free shipping.

So, in conclusion, is this product worth it? Maybe, it's a good price, but the product is very old and doesn't seem to offer what the more expensive product offer.

Pros:
A lot of product
Cheap price

Cons:
Old product
Product does not dry
For me dispenser broke on product
