Even reading straight out of the book how to do something you will still get questions wrong.

If it tells you to resize an image by clicking a corner and dragging it in their fake MS Word you have to resize it to pretty much the exact pixel that they say.

MyItLab is the worst software program I have ever used and I didn't do well in my class because of it.

myITlab is horrible. All it is is a subscription based ripoff for college students that schools pay to include because they think it somehow helps teach students. It'd be ok for online-only classes but even then the myITlab software that completely takes over your computer when you run it sucks. Everything they want you to do has to be done a very specific way with no room for the smallest discrepancy. If it tells you to resize an image by clicking a corner and dragging it in their fake MS Word you have to resize it to pretty much the exact pixel that they say. It's not easy and it's frustrating because if you fail to hit that one stupid pixel it'll take you to "training mode" which basically forces you to do what you were doing except it opens dialogues and other things for you. Once you're finished with training mode you have to do it again anyways. Then with the exams you have no such luck so if you fail to hit that one pixel in the several attempts you're allowed you lose possible points. Thankfully my instructor knows that myITlab is horrible and will give us the points regardless if we complete the actual things or not, as long as we do well on the actual exams in class.

myITlab is a really useless way to teach software, teaching people one way to do things might have worked 70 years ago when you'd have people on an assembly line with one job and one job only: put a screw in and turn it, or not even that, just put a screw on and someone else turns it. Today you need multiple skills and you need to learn for yourself how to do things in many ways.

I have been using Microsoft Office products for as long as I can remember and I would say that I am pretty knowledgeable when it comes to using these products. I had to take a computer information systems course that was a general requirement for my degree. For the course, we had to use MyItLab to "learn" how to use Microsoft Office 2010 (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint). MyItLab is the worst software program I have ever used and I didn't do well in my class because of it. I don't know how a program that is supposed to teach people anything can completely disregard the rules of common sense. It got very, very tiring to see the words "incorrect action" for something I know for a fact I did right. And by the last quiz I had to take, I was ready to chuck my computer out of my window. If you don't perform the action their way it will count it as wrong and sometimes you can perform the same action over and over and it will tell you you are wrong only to tell you are right when you do the SAME.EXACT.THING once more. I could go on and on about how much I hate this software and I will absolutely avoid ANY class that requires MyItLab.

I don't know how to describe what a horrible experience MyItLab has been for me. They can't seem to fix the bugs, there are always strange problems, and the simulations are incomplete. Worst educational product I have ever encountered, especially pathetic considering this is supposed to be a college learning tool.

I have seen learning programs ment for 1st graders that have been made better than MYITLab. Any college that deems this an okay form of teaching or conducting any part of class, should slap them selves silly. I paid 80$ for something that basically does not work. If you are astudent user of MYITLab i am sorry for you, i regret to inform you that your instructor/college has failed you. You will spend more time re-loading the program than actually using it. Someone who is "retarded" or mentally ill, could understand that this does not work. Who ever thought that this was a good idea, needs to go take a long hard look at themselves and question, the meaning of life, who they are, what their goals are and how to rid this world of this awful useless program. Luckily there is a facebook page call "MYITlab makes me want to throw my computer out of my window" join it and join all of us in finding a solution.

I have never written a review in my life. Ever. And I didn't purchase this on Amazon, but I feel a responsibility to spread the news. If you are thinking of purchasing MyITLab because you need it for class, DROP THE CLASS. If you're lucky, you'll have a better instructor than I have currently, one who will actually answer your emails or care about your problems, but odds are you won't because what kind of people do they have teaching the class run entirely by awful software? Do yourself a favor and run. Do us all a favor and don't support these people. I cannot stress this enough. At best, the software is extremely picky and even an expert Office user will experience "incorrect" answers. At worst, you won't even be able to complete the tasks. It's got a severe infestation of software bugs that will drive the calmest person stark raving mad.
