5.0 out of 5 stars Scare the birds away before they do damage
Woodpeckers were working on the wood siding this was easy to tack up and keep them away. I also used it to keep birds away from tomato plants by tying it on frame around the plants.

Put this tape in various areas where a woodpecker was drilling holes in our siding. The next day he was back and drilled a hole right next to the rows of dangling tape. Couldn't be less satisfied!

I never had bird problems before i bought the tape but got it for my garden just for prevention of bird problems...Now that the crows can see the flashing caused by the tape they come for miles to visit our garden...the crows must know this is a garden when they see the flashing...jimmy

4.0 out of 5 stars A simple way to keep your wood house whole, November 23, 2011

This "Bird Scare Flash Tape" is a great help for me. Woodpeckers have attacked my cedar home for years. I tried metal strips, but it scratched and dug into the soft cedar wood. This tape scares the birds and my house has not been attacked since I put it up.

One thing for advice. One strip at a location is not enough, but few at different heights works!

5.0 out of 5 stars More Tape, Less Birds, September 7, 2011
This review is from: Bird Scare Flash Tape
I live in Arizona and we have lots of birds and in the hot summer, they are looking for shade and a place to cool off. They love covered patios and lay under patio furniture all summer long. I got tired of hosing down the patio every couple of weeks from the hundreds of little bird terds. I finally bought this tape at the local hardware store and hung approx. 20-30 strands all over the covered patio. I hung them from the ceiling fan, strung them from chair to chair, covering high spots and low spots. For the first couple of days, i monitored the patio and had a good entertainment watching the birds fly towards the patio and beeline as soon as the flash tape scared them. I turned the ceiling fans on when the wind wasn't gently blowing the tape. It has been a full week, and the birds are gone, in fact I noticed that very few even hang out in the grass far from patio.

5.0 out of 5 stars It works!, June 27, 2011

We have four very large clerestory windows in our mountain cabin, and birds keep flying into them, thinking they're a tunnel to the forest on the other side. Half the time the birds were killed. We bought this product and hung two four-foot streamers from the eves, in front of each window. They flash in the sun, and for three weeks we've not had a single bird strike.
