I remember when I was in high school, we had a team that played hockey. It wasn't ice hockey, it was more like street hockey. I of course had to be goalie, since no one else wanted that position. During the games I would wear one of these. Now after I graduated and got out of there, I was given once more the opportunity to play street hockey, but since I had no goalie mask of my own, I had to order one. Given my experience with this model I chose this. First off the mask is absolutely PERFECT at blocking hockey ball shots. I've taken multiple slap shots with it and so far no damage. I bought it in DECEMBER of last year and this review is going up on September so yeah, I've had some time with it already. However, I have to stress the importance that this mask be used only and I mean ONLY for floor or street hockey. If you plan on using it on ice or even with a roller puck, don't. The plastic of the mask, however strong it may be, is no match for the flying punishment of a rubber puck. You're better off putting down the extra $$$ and getting a cage mask or even a fiberglass mask(think Jason). Mylec makes some of the best hockey equipment out there, and this is no exception.
