I really like the looks of this mask. After the Apocalypse, I plan on being a Lord Humongous-type, and this will be perfect for my needs.

I don't play hockey so my review might not be valid. But from my understanding this is a real vintage remake of an old hockey mask. It fits very well and it covers the majority of the head unlike other halloween hockey masks that just cover the face. There are 5 adjustable straps that are made of the soft first aid like elastic straps. These straps attach to a backplate that even protects the back of your head. The back plate is thick enough to prevent a concussion as it also has a foam cusion. The inside of the mask also has much foam cusioning. The mask is very comfortable, I personally have fallen asleep with it on so it's pretty comfortable. My nephew threw his metal toys at me and they bounced off this mask, no scratches were made as a result.

I bought this mask to wear while playing floor hockey. Not only is it fully functional, but it's pretty intimidating too. I've been hit in the head with the floor hockey puck and the mask absorbed the hits wonderfully. Great buy.

After taking a slap shot into the mouth and spitting blood everywhere, I decided it was time to get face protection. I didn't like the full cage helmets and wanted something vintage like. It took sometime to find one I liked and that was also cheap. After receiving this mask, it has saved my face from a ton of damage. It looks intimidating and I feel very comfortable with it on. It's a really nice piece of equipment and I have no problems or concern with it at all.

this is a great mask for numerous sports and costuming needs.
pros- fits the face well, and if you happen to have a larger head and nose...like i do it still fits well. the 5 straps hold it in place securly in a sprint or jumping around. it can be easily modified.
cons- it does restrict vision, you lose some periferal vision and the top of the mask needs slight ajustment depending on the shape of your head.

one of the first things i do with this kind of mask is open the eye holes a bit for periferal vision.

Well I was a little hopeful that this would work for roller hockey with a puck if I used a neck guard with it but after getting it, no luck. A shot to the face would hurt a lot, the foam doesn't hug your face like a real goalies helmet does and its really thin foam. Any shot on the lower half sends all the force directly to the front and center of your chin pushing it back instead of evenly on the head/face. I feel like a street hockey puck could break the plastic with a hard enough slap shot. For costing so little I can't be upset, just a little dream to have that style helmet in hockey. The protection in the back isn't complete either.

Sidenote, it doesn't look quite as cool in real life as the picture. The forehead seems a little bigger on it.

Conclusion, probably fine for ball hockey, can't use it with pucks. (I'd avoid any no bounce balls with water in them because of the added weight)

If you open your mouth your lower chin will be exposed. Again for a ball whatever but puck, no way in hell. I guess I have to be Jason next year for Halloween.

these don't get too hot inside during use and absorb shots to the face very well(keep in my my friends and I are beginners). Great buy for those looking for good street hockey goalie masks.

This ended up being much better than I thought. It has comfortable inner padding, adjustable straps and I have personally landed slapshots(with street hockey ball) on my brothers face while wearing it and he didn't feel a thing. Looks really cool also. The price here is much better than in stores.

I bought this specifically as part of my stage costume for my post apocalyptic metal band. But when I got it, It was far more substantial than I had imagined. So I started wearing it when playing contact sports like lacrosse. It also comes with extra foam to adjust it to your head shape which is nice.

This is a hockey mask for adults. It is offset from the face by foam pads at the chin and forehead so one size fits a wide range of heads. It is held securely at the rear, is comfortable, and goes on easily. I will use it for protection when I split wood with my electric splitter, which sometimes sends a piece backwards.
