VOLUME ONE IS CALLED " A DECADE OF LOVE" AND FEATURES "AGAIN AND AGAIN", "STRANGER TO DANGER", ETC. ONE OF MYLON'S BEST RECORDINGS IS THE 1981-1982 MCA RELEASE "BRAND NEW START". I ONLY WISH THAT IT WAS AVAILABLE ON CD!

Mylon and Broken Heart are generally regarded as one of the forefathers of Christian Rock/Contemporary Christian Music and these "Greatest Hits" were culled from the band's first four albums. It's somewhat deceiving, though, because, in my opinion, the band's best work came later with their albums "Face The Music" (my favorite), "Big World", and "Crank It Up". Maybe someday, the good folks at Amazon.com will offer more of Mylon's albums (hint hint). Still, as with most greatest hits albums, this is a great introduction to the band. And there are some great, Classic Mylon songs here-- including "Love God Hate Sin" and "Crack The Sky" from their 1987 Grammy-winning album "Crack The Sky". Compared to the "Rock" of today, the songs on this album don't seem as hard and definitely have an '80s feel to them. But have some respect! Mylon and Broken Heart paved the way for the Christian Rock bands of today. Highly recommended, and a must for Christian Rock fans with some sense of history.

I concur that this is a great album which I'd love to have on cd. Even though I still have a good copy of the lp, the cd is on my "must have" list. The album emphasizes Alvin Lee and Mylon LeFevre; however, other artists (Winwood, Capaldi, Rebop, Ron Wood, Mick Fleetwood) add their talent. And Hari Georgeson slides along very nicely. Amazon: Use your powers to see that CBS, Chrysalis, Rhino, or anyone hurries with a cd release and then promptly send me a copy!!

This collaborative effort of Mylon and Ten Years After guitarist Alvin Lee released ~1975 remains one of the most original, under-rated, and unknown albums of the 1970's. Featuring an all-star line-up that includes George Harrison and Ronnie Wood, the writing, playing, arrangements, and production on this release are superb!

I've been looking for a CD copy of this album since 1987-Amazon, please help!

Mylon and the Boys do it again. How they, or anyone, can pick the greatest hits by Broken Heart escapes me. From the "early" days of Free Man to classics likeCrack the Sky, it's easy to see why this group, along with folks like Russ Taff, were contemporary christian music of their day....and many days after.

My kingdom for a CD (or cassette) of this one! I've been telling people for years that this album has been conspicuously absent from music industry reviews as one of the great albums of the 70's! Where's an import copy, Japan?! I heard that Mylon's dad was so put out with his son for making "hippie" music with the likes of Alvin Lee, that he bought the rights to the album, confiscated all copies (including the master) and destroyed them. Say it ain't so...

Hey, I agree with all the other people here...BRING OUT "ON THE ROAD TO FREEDOM" on CD! Its one of the best!

If "Mr. Critic" below found that offensive, he obviously finds Mylon offensive and can't rate the album himself...
I've enjoyed pretty much everything Mylon has done, this album included.
It's ashamed that he hasn't gotten more recognition for his work. Most people I know have never heard of Mylon...

I bought this as a gift for a special lady and she loves it so I am well pleased
