Jacksoul = REALsoul. If you love Otis, Marvin, Rev. Al, Booker T, and the sound of the Stax, Hi Records and Fame studios, check out these cuts by cats north of the border. I listen to these guys over and over again and wonder why they don't have a following in the states. I'd love to be able to get out to one of the clubs in Boston to hear these guys live. If you buy the CD's - maybe they'll tour. Check them Out !

I have to be one of the biggest jacksoul fans in the state of Washington, having bought their CDs as gifts for friends, and spreading the 'soul' gospel. I was so glad when this CD came out, but believe it does not measure up. The liner notes state they sang and recoded about 40 songs and struggled to chop it down. I am curious as to what miss the cut. There are some great covers here, and the new song "oneSONG" is great, but this CD falls short of "Resurrected", their best CD to date. I'm still a believer! Keep it up guys.
