I love Exile. And I love this book. I still don't believe that anybody can solve the Myst Trilogy without cheating. One of the reasons that this book is so wonderful is that there is sort of a "preamble" before each series of cheats. This allows you to still feel the continuity of the game. There is also some "soft cheats" at the end of the book for you die-hards that don't want to use the walkthrough. Also, there is a journal by Atrus at the end. So buy the book even if you refuse to cheat at all. It contains helpful information of the continuing story.

The Myst III: Exile Prima Strategy Guide is very complete. It is easy to understand and follow. It offers two types of helps: The Golden Path Walkthrough which reveals every step needed to complete in the game. The other is the Soft Hints section which is for those who don't want the answer revealed to them and just need a hint.

It also includes a "Historian's Journal" which tells about the story's origin, and Atrus' Journal which is the journal Atrus gives you at the beginning of the game.

This guide is essential to anyone who owns or will own the Myst III: Exile game.

The strategy guide achieves its goal: it explains Exile in intricate detail. It also delineates the history and philosophy of Exile's five ages. My only objection to this guide is that its Golden Walkthrough (chapters 1 - 6) makes Exile a little too easy. However, this objection is ameliorated by the guide's Soft Hints section (chapter 7).

Dont even read the "Serves its purpose" post below, written by one with the lack of a proper education. The game was NOT created by Mattel. It is being published by Ubisoft and is created by the geniuses at Presto Studios. In this world, some people do not think before they write as is the case below. Myst 3 is already released and is garnering many awards in its path. Providing a legendary experience, Myst 3 will leave you enchanted! Give it a try and you will find a memorable adventure!

I'm pretty stupid when it comes to solving Myst, Riven and Exile. I find it unbelievable that some folks claim they can solve these by themselves. If you want the solution, or partial solution, here's the book for you. I know I couldn't have finished without it.

This book SAVED ME!!!! i am a BIG myst etc. fan. I think the puzzles in exile are harder than in riven or myst, so i was STUCK IN J'NANIN!!!! luckily, my dad bought this book! so I was saved. it's actually a very interesting book to read, weather you're on exile or not.

I have multiple Guides, including riven and myst and some other games, but this was the most thorough of them all, its great, I highly reccomend it!

Though I have bought the books for Myst and Riven and they were excellent. This book stinks, it has many, many typos such as they tell to to pull a lever to the left and you were supposed to pull it to the right or I guess your other left. Overall the book was good for helping you to solve the puzzles but; it needs to be corrected and republished or have a web sight with the errors on it so you don't pull your hair out trying to figure out what you did wrong.

It was like buying a new game for 1/4 of the price, much better condition then expected. Arrived quickly, product was better then advertised, what more can you ask for?

By the way, why dosen't Amazon offer a spell check option for these reviews. I know I can cut and paste it into e-mail or word processing program and spell check and cut and paste it back in, but why should I have to? E-mail Amazon if you agree.

Book was delivered quickly. It has helped in the Myst III game when I get stuck.
