Very Good, but not GREAT, November 9, 2008
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars

This game is very fun. It lives up to the saga. The idea of the slates is neat and inventive. Having the 3D characters is a nice refreshing idea. Plus, the environments are very realistic and engrossing. The idea of having multiple ways to explore is very nice. I love also that in the point and click mode you are not just going picture to picture, but you do move to the next spot. And the puzzles are always good.
However, I am not giving it all 5 stars. The reasons are because the worlds are not that large (some say they were meant for URU Live . . . which I hope they get back up and running once more), the puzzles are sometimes a little bit easy, and the journal you keep always opens up to the first page. It is annoying that you have to flip through the countless pages to get back to where you last wrote.
But, this game is worth it, and this special edition is great. I love the extra DVD and the booklet teaches you to write in D'ni and count numbers in D'ni and a wonderful collection of photos and drawings from all the games. If you are a MYST fan, get it.

I have enjoyed playing and re-playing the Myst series. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys good logic puzzles.
