4.0 out of 5 stars The Mysteries of Freemasonry
Generally a good balanced view of Freemasonry, with plenty of opinions from several angles and well-known writers, both masonic and non-Masonic, on the Craft.

The whole point of this show was to prove all the theories wrong using people who disagree with these theories. Although the narrator does bring up the theories, he does not have any opinions to back them up. The...

5.0 out of 5 stars A fine survey of the world's oldest secret society, November 16, 2009
This review is from: Mysteries of the Freemasons (History Channel) (DVD)
Libraries will find this outstanding DVD a popular pick, offering a fine historical and biographical review. MYSTERIES OF THE FREEMASONS provides a fine survey of the world's oldest secret society, reviewing codes, murder, and offering a blend of reenactments and expert interviews to survey Freemason history. Highly recommended.

I got this for my husband who recently became a mason. He really enjoyed it and didn't get the feeling that anyone was taking a side. Great information.

2.0 out of 5 stars Unbiased?, December 28, 2008

The whole point of this show was to prove all the theories wrong using people who disagree with these theories. Although the narrator does bring up the theories, he does not have any opinions to back them up. The conspiracy theories may be garbage but this show is biased garbage as well. Something seems to be happening to a lot of history channel programs.

Nice vidoe but....Does it really tell us the truth about Masons .I think No.It's just gives us history of freemasons and that's all.Come'on Freemasons filming about freemasons will they give all the secrets no it's just cover up.This Item is good for people who are interested in mainstream Mason history not the actual one anyway the choice is yours.....
