1 of 1 people found the following review helpful By Pop Bop TOP 500 REVIEWER on April 12, 2012
Format: Paperback
The idea of having a series called "Mysteries in Our National Parks", with each mystery featuring a different park as the setting, is inspired. What a great set to have on sale at the visitor centers and available for kids camping and visiting, or for sale elsewhere for kids planning to visit.

Unfortunately, the books have to have some merit as mysteries and/or stories. In this volume the characters are just sketched in, the action is implausible, and the resolution is less than compelling. Except for some site specific name dropping the Park isn't even very present, and there is no interesting angle that turns on any particular aspect of the Park.

That said, the book is set in Mesa Verde, and there are sites mentioned. In the absence of anything else this is a serviceable tale; it's just that it could have been so much more.
