This review is from: Mysterious Britain (Paperback)
Do you want to know more about the mysteriious history of the British Isles? This is a book that tries to explain some of the ways that ancient myth and ancient culture touches the Britain of today.... well perhaps...
A fascinating read... You may have to suspend belief here and there to get the most from it....

I guarantee that if you buy this book and read it, that you will spend the rest of your life researching (and in some cases travelling many thousands of miles to visit) ancient megalithic sites. So beware. I was first exposed to the Bords' book in college 35 years ago and it touched off some kind of pagan fiber in my brain or something. Someone who's read a lot on the subject might find it covering a lot of old territory, but you can have hours of fun typing the coordinates into Google Earth and visiting the Holy Wells and disused monoliths vicariously. A keeper. The section on ghosts and UFOs is a little lame, but the rest of the book is phenomenal.
