Artful, Ardent Worship! This Album is a Great Find!, April 5, 2006
This review is from: Mysterious Things (Audio CD)
From the opening chords and vocals of "Prelude" and "Nobody Else" to the haunting piano of "Burning", this CD is one of the most creative, inspired, and lush worship CDs that I have ever heard.
Referencing piano driven Britpop akin Keane and Aqualung, Rufus Wainwright, modern worship, and alt-country, Evan's first CD echoes with sounds that will stay spinning in your CD tray or burn batteries in your iPod for months to come.
Notable tracks are "Nobody Else", "House Of The Holy One", "Pour Out Your Spirit, Lord", "Hallelujah Jesus", and "Burning". Pick up this CD if you love great worship music, or if you want to relax and be inspired to consider the Lord in all of his might!

Talent That Praises God!!!!, January 8, 2007
This review is from: Mysterious Things (Audio CD)
I bought this album after hearing our worship band play "Hallelujah Jesus" expecting to find only a song or 2 that I really enjoyed and was blown away by the open song "Prelude" and 12 others that show a man who is really using his talents for God. Each song is filled with such emotion from Evan's voice and such creativity in the music and arrangements!!! "Who You Are," "I Love You," "Waterfall," and "Hallelujah Jesus" are songs worth hearing again and again.

Great Worship Album, December 27, 2007
This review is from: Mysterious Things (Audio CD)
I am a huge Phil Wickham fan, so I thought I'd give his brother a try. I must say that I am pleased that I did! I'm always looking for new and creative worship albums with original songs. I'm not a fan of the recycled worhip song album. Doesn't anyone else get tired of hearing the same songs over and over again? I love to hear original songs by people who are obviosuly in love with God. Highlights include: "House of the Holy One" and "Hallelujah Jesus" - Add this one to your collection!
