Facinating old travelogue,

Really interesting old (1925) account of the archaeologist author's travels through the Mexican jungle, trekking with the most basic supplies. He gives fascinating details of local fauna, the lives of the indigenous Maya, and archaeological finds. He battles insects, weather, sickness, and more and takes it all in stride. Truly a fun read!
