Editorial Reviews

Review

The coniunctio is the end result of the alchemical procedure when finally the opposites are successfully united. The psychological parallel, the creation of conscious-ness that goes hand in hand with the process of individuation, is the subject of Jung's last major work, Mysterium Coniunctionis. Here Dr. Edward Edinger demystifies both the coniunctio and Jung's writings about it, in two lectures: "An Introduction to Jung's Mysterium Coniunctionis" and "A Psychological Interpretation of the Rosarium Pictures" - the intriguing series of ten alchemical drawings on which Jung based his important work. -- Midwest Book Review

5.0 out of 5 stars A clear respresentation of the alchemical process, April 27, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: The Mystery of the Coniunctio: Alchemical Image of Individuation (Studies in Jungian Psychology By Jungian Analysts) (Paperback)
I thought the Rosarium essay in particular was very clearly written and much easier to understand than reading from Jung's exposition. I'm quickly becoming an Edinger fan.
